Mario Chat / American Mario cartoons in Japan?
« on: May 23, 2008, 11:01:34 AM »
The American Mario cartoon series from the late 1980s/early 1990s had been translated into various languages. But I would like to know if any of the shows had been ever localised for the country where the Nintendo headquarters are, Japan? And if they weren't, are the Japanese fans as curious about the American shows as fans from the western world are curious about the Japan-only Mario animes? Or are they even more interested in it?

I'm simply interested what the Japanese fans think about the American Mario cartoon shows and how much known they are there, does anybody know something?

Mario Chat / WarioWare characters in Mario games?
« on: March 24, 2008, 09:15:48 AM »
Last year, I played through the five games of the WarioWare series and I quickly became a fan of it. I also like the characters that were introduced with the series, especially Mona, 9-Volt and Ashley (and Red), but also the other ones. Sadly, these characters had practically not any role in other games so far (except for Brawl, of course).

I would like to see that at least some characters of the WarioWare crew appear in future Mario sports and party games as playable characters.  After all, Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong from the DK series also made it, and Diamond City already appeared as a track in Mario Kart Arcade GP.

What do you think? Should the WarioWare characters also appear in Mario games or don't they belong there?

Happy Easter to all! :-)

P.S. Yes, I know that the Wario games can be understood as part of the Mario series, too,  but I speak about games that include Mario's name in the title, like Mario Party, Mario Kart and so on.

Mario Chat / MEDAMAYAKI song from Wario Land 4 - Japanese, anyone?
« on: February 28, 2008, 10:29:00 AM »
Wario Land 4 contains a Japanese-language song called MEDAMAYAKI. I've only read that the title means "Fried Egg", but not what the lyrics mean. There are translations for the various lyrics form the WarioWare series around the web, but I couldn't find any translation of this one. Anyone here who understands Japanese and could translate it? I really would like to know it. So, here are the lyrics:

UKURERE MITAINA
TABIWO SHIYO
ARUITE IKO TSUKINO
KAKERAWO HIROINAGARA
CHIZUNO KAWARINI KYANBASU
NIJINO SHIZUKUDE
(SOMEMASHO)
HINODENI MANIAUYONI
BOYAKETA TOKEIWA OITEKO
UMINI TAMEIKI TOKASHI-TE
ISHINI KOEWO KIZAMO
TSUKIWO SUPUNI UKABETARA
HYOUGARANO KUMOGA WARAU

Site Discussion / Release errors
« on: February 22, 2008, 08:41:16 AM »
I've noticed that some of the release information on your (wonderful) site is false, the European in particular. Here we go:

- Game & Watch Gallery 1, 2 and 3 have all been released in Europe.
- Wario Land II (GBC version), Wario Land 3 and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe were available in Europe as well.
- WarioWare: Twisted! hasn't been released in Europe so far. NoE's website still lists it as "TBD", but I doubt it will still come to Europe.

You should usually find the European release dates at NinDB.

Game Help / WarioWare: Touched! Mona Pizza video - how to get?
« on: October 04, 2007, 10:03:26 AM »
Hello, I read a few on the Internet that you would get a special Mona Pizza video while playing WarioWare: Touched! with WarioWare: Twisted! in the GBA slot. I tried it out, I inserted both the Touched! and Twisted! cartridge into  the DS and turned it on. I started the game, but nothing special happened. How can I get this secret toy? Or do I have to insert the GBA cartridge while already playing Touched!? Or does it matter that Touched! is an European version while Twisted! is an American version (hasn't been released in Europe)?

Could someone help me, please?
