I think that from a business point of view, even if it's 100% obvious, they still can't guarantee everyone who buys Brawl will still own a GCN controller. And name one instance when they--or anyone-- will do it again! My guess: The nunchuck will be used, or Sakurai didn't translate to the best of his ability.

Well, they tend to be more part of the DK world, which as we all know, weaves in and out of the Mario universe like a drunk driver. I'd say Diddy'll show up more prominently first, then we'll see.

In terms of usefulness, Carrie; Y=you can move faster, cover spikes, water, and sand, and bonk enemies! As for personality (not counting Tippi), I liked getting Cudge, in all his eccentricities, to holler "CHEESE!!!"

I think virtually all boss battles, if not, at least nearly all final boss battles, are weird. I mean, these guys are supposed to grab your attention and stand out from normal baddies. Also, it requires you to use all the skills you've learned so far.

That being said, I COULD just say "Anything from a Mario RPG", but I'll elaborate a tad:

Bowyer: Looks like a bow, talks like Gollum crossed with Yoda, breaks the 4th wall with a set of SNES buttons in front of him that disable moves.

Those bosses in Smithy's place: What was it... Clockwork, Domino, Hoodie, or something... yeah, just go back there sometime and see what I mean.

MukuMuku: Does this count? He's a cloud of gas with two different names that's always following you around.

I think the problem is that these two games have very little differences (well, at least compared to Ruby/Sapphire... like, every other Pokemon was only in a certain game in that one) and too many legendaries (three of which come from some mysterious "special event" later). Aw, well; they're still the most addictive ever, especially considering you can get every 'mon ever, excepting most legendaries from Gold/Silver and Mew (Missingno doesn't count. Neither does that obscure ExpertGamer April Fool's joke about getting Yoshi as a Pokemon in Red/Blue).

-Every Burger King Nintendo toy (from that one promotion)
-Almost every Wendy's Nintendo toy (from that other one promotion)
-Two or three of those toys from that McDonalds promotion (from way back)
-Mario cookie-cutters (a few mysteriously disappeared)

My dad has a "I Saved the Princess" patch from back when they used to give out that awesome stuff (He really did save her--though I don't know if that's how he got it. Even I haven't done that!)
