Lakitus, hammer bros, and bullet bills are nasty enought.

mostly sea creatures are just "good target for fireballs"

Also notice that water-based creatures are the weakest ones in Pokemon too

Warp-piping is not random because it always warps you to the same destination.  However there IS some kind of random-warp: Warp Spaces from Mario Party 4!  (hum, I wonder if Miyamoto is reading this..)

The Mario Party  "Warp Block" does more or less the same: it switches your position with another carachter.  The MP4 Warp Pipe is just a warp block shaped like a pipe.

Mario Chat / Re: Super Mario Kart for Gamecube Dream Roster
« on: December 21, 2002, 02:06:14 PM »
I believe that games like the Kart and the Party series will always have mario-only carachters, being them  "super MARIO kart"  and "MARIO party".   Super Smash Bros does not have MARIO in the title so it is not limited to mario carachters only.

There may be Kamek, Waluigi or even Daisy, but not Link, leave alone Samus!

so, my dream roster is... the same of the GBA version.

there will be secret tracks  (maybe the original NES ones)   and there MIGHT be secret carachters.

the real challenge is guessing the

NEW SECRET FEATURE

Nintendo is keeping secret.
They are not revealing it now because they are afraid that other kart games will copy it.

According to the Japanese version, SMB4 is nothing other than SMW  ( I believe it's written on the Jap box art)

a Pikmin kind of game should be a Bowser game.  You control Bowser who has to gather an army of goombas, koopas and other funny guys.

a roguelike game with Mario carachters.  something like the HeroQuest boardgame.
Maybe with a cartoonish taste like Monster Gate (GBA)

MY THEORIES ABOUT THE BOOK SECRET IN SMS:

for those who don't know:  in SMS you can find a locked door, and behind that door there is a book.  At present nobody managed to get this mysterious book.

here's some possible explanations on why they keep the book secret.  add yours!

1)  the book says that Miyamoto is dead and the one you see is a lookalike.

2) the book says that you are a f*ck*ng ba**ard and Nintendo keeps it secret because Mario games must be for Everyone

3) Miyamoto: "Hey guys, what about putting an unlockable door with an empty book inside? People would go insane trying to find out why we did so"

Programmer:  "Hey, that's great!"

4) The door may be unlocked only by linking the new Super Game Boy Advance to the game cube. The secret book allows you to play ....  mario bros!!!

5) The book contains Miyamoto's credit card number.

6) It tells how to beat the game, but it was too useless and they're embarrassed. --CW

Yeah, they do!  In SMRPG one of them turns a coin box into a golden box, which gives you unlimitied coins!  :-)

Ricco (rich) Harbor
Pinna (flipper) Park
Sirena (siren) Beach
Pianta (plant) Village
Corona (crown) Mountain

(I'm 100% italian)

I found another little good piece of translation:  the mini-game where you have to jump to catch coins before the bad guy does  is named  Saltadanaio,  mixing  salta (jump)  and salvadanaio (piggy bank)

the European version is multi-language.  I believe it's the first time that a Mario game is fully translated in Italian!

I played it a little.   ShyGuys are named  TipiTimidi
