I'm sorry, it's just that this topic's been up for a while now, and every time I see it I start thinking of that song.

As you were.  :D

I'm your age, Mario Maniac.  I was getting worried there for a minute myself.

I think Morton Koopa Jr.'s name is just an obscure reference, like that of most of the Koopa Kids.  He's named after Morton Downey Jr.

Nothing happens.  I might have known . . . A for effort, though.

I'm a newbie, tho actually I was here before a long time ago and just forgot my name and password when I came back.  I'm also a girl.  *eyes shift back and forth*  Sometimes I need to be careful about admitting that online . . . heh.

Oh, and I never liked Barbies, until I reached the age when I realized you could make them do obscene things if you really tried.  Replay value went up like a shot.  Ah, early puberty . . .

You need to be riding Yoshi . . . have him eat the key (he can stick his tongue through the wall) and spit it into the keyhole.

Thanks, yo_mahmood . . . I'll be sure to try it ASAP.  By the way, whether it works or not for me, I didn't mean any harm, really.  I've just been jaded by too many promises of odd and fantastic things in Mario 64, I guess.  :D  I would never haved guessed anyway, though, since I suck at finding codes.  Sorry if I offended you.

Of course, if it doesn't work, you're a complete *******.  Naaah, just kidding.  :D

I have a rather strong feeling that the reason he doesn't come right out and tell us is that Toad isn't IN SMRPG.  If I'm wrong, well, so be it, but this sounds a bit . . . well, crap.  To me.

Is there any point to the sign in the hallway (the one with Tall Tall Mountain and the rooms leading to a few other courses) that warns you to walk quietly?  Or is it just there as a silly little thing?  Like, does something happen depending on whether or not you walk quietly?

At the risk of sounding like a complete ass if you guys are pulling our legs, is there a specific time when you have to go there, or is he always there?  Like, if I opened a completed file and screwed around in the forest for awhile would I find him, or is he gone by then?  I can't believe I'm even bothering to ask . . .

You mean Soda Island?  The one a ways under the bottom bridge?  To get there, you have to find the secret exit to the level on the bottom bridge, which I think is called Cheese Bridge or summat . . . it's been awhile.  I can't find the game to check how to get to the secret exit, but if it's the level I'm thinking of, it involves going under the first exit somehow.  Argh.  I forget.  But if that's not the island you mean, then the one you're talking about doesn't have a level on it--you can't get to it.

Game Help / Dead Game
« on: January 07, 2004, 02:30:32 AM »
So I've been wanting to replay Super Mario 64 lately, but it's dead.  Completely.  When I put the cartridge in and turn the system on, the screen doesn't do anything--doesn't come up plain black, or snow, or scrambled.  It just keeps showing the "video" prompt.  I thought something was wrong with the system at first but all my other games work just fine.  I've been keeping them clean and cool and dry and above all all in the same place, but only this one game is acting up.

Then I noticed something else:  the cartridge is a lot lighter than my other N64 games are.  Has something happened to it inside, or fallen out, and I didn't notice?  Just looking inside it looks the same, but I can't see in very far.  Or are all SM64 cartridges significantly lighter than the other N64 games I happen to own, like Starfox?

Mario Chat / MK:DD: Who Are You? (spoilers)
« on: December 06, 2003, 12:48:25 AM »
See what I did there?  It's, like, Nintendo's ad campaign AND the subject of the thread!  I am so "whitty."

Anyway.  Spoilers here, in case you were blinded by my wit in the title and missed it.

For those of you who've played the game, what's the best combination of driver/item user/car you've found so far?  I'm curious to see whether people work better with the characters that are supposed to go together or random combinations.  I've noticed that once you get into 150cc engines and mirror mode, the computer starts mixing it up, whereas in 50cc and 100cc it always uses matching pairs.

I personally can't win the harder races unless I'm using Baby Mario and Baby Luigi together, usually in the Toad car.  (It's funny, I always hated the characters, but now that they're helping me win I think they're kinda cute.  Heh.)

Been awhile since I stopped by here, I see you all are just as cuh-razy as ever.
