General Chat / Re: Worst--Movie--Ever.
« on: November 30, 2007, 04:25:07 PM »
I don't really watch many movies, so the movie I'm about to list may not be the worst of all time, but it's bad:

Eight Crazy nights.

Seriously, the movie was terribly unfunny. Potty humor can be good, but not when it's extensively shoved down your throat. Then it's just gross. Not an inch of this film is worth a laugh, a chuckle, a chortle, a guffaw, a giggle, a cackle, a hee-haw, a snicker, a smirk, a titter, a whizgigging or even a "tee-hee". It's that bad.

I, too, take pleasure in viewing Youtube poop, my favorite being Dr. Rabbit poops.

I always thought of calling people who make poops "Poopists". It sounds classy, kinda like "artists". What do you think about it?

There's not 'cause it sucked (though I'd probably die laughing if it was an item in Brawl).

ROB also sucked, but he's appeared in a lot of Nintendo games (including being a playable character in MKDS).

Man, it's getting progressivly harder to avoid spoilers about SMG, as I think it may be the greatest game ever, so I want to keep nearly every part of this game, including level design, a secret so it's a surprise when I play it.

That is all.

Video Game Chat / Wii Zapper: Buy or don't buy?
« on: November 17, 2007, 03:27:10 PM »
In two days, on the one year anniversery of the Wii's release, Nintendo is releaseing an all new tomy-gun style accessory. It'll have the pack-in game "Link's Crossbow Training", a Zelda spinoff.

...Of, course, most of you probably already know that, so I'll get down to brass tacts: will you be purchasing this twenty dollar accessory? I was going to leave it alone, but with the delay of SSBB past Christmas,  I've been looking at alternatives to place under my christmas tree. Really, If I'd buy it, it would mostly be for the game; in nearly all of the press reviews for games that supported the Zapper, they've said they'd rather use the regular Wii-mote & Nunchuk. So that's put me off, but If I have twenty bucks for a Christmas present, it might just end up beside my Wii-remotes and Nunchuks.

So, what's your take on this issue?

What about the Power Glove?

IMO, the Power Glove greatly stretches the definition of a "Motion-sensing controller", as it hardly ever sensed motion.

Also, it was not the official controller of the NES, as Nintendo did not make it nor did they endorse it, and as far as I know, it was not bundled with the NES. Ultimately it doesn't really count as the NES's controller: it was a third party accessory.

Mario Chat / Re: Bad Guards
« on: November 10, 2007, 06:09:48 PM »
I think that's a general trend in games and movies: all the good guy's guards and soldiers are easily killed by the enemy, but one person manages to defeat entire armies. I guess Mario is just another series following this trend.

I think that some of Bowser's plans are way too over-the-top for any Toad guard to prevent, such as uprooting the very ground Peach's castle rests on (PM and SMG), using magic to tranform everyone (SMB where Bowser turns everyone into blocks, or SM64 where Bowser traps everyone inside the Castle walls) or clevery takes her when she's not at the castle (SMW, SMS and NSMB). Very few of Bowser's plans involved actually storming the castle.

Also, if the Toads prevented Bowser's kidnappings, then we would have fewer Mario games, wouldn't we ;)?

I can be pretty hyperactive and rambunctious, especially around the household.

Last night, I was acting out a Sonic sez segment from AoStH.

Oh, poop.

I was going to try out the online part of LoZ:PH, so I decided to check out Nintendo's website on how to set up my Wi-fi USB connector (since it's been a long time). I was looking through their FAQ, and discovered that they discontinued the Wi-Fi USB connector. Now I'm going have to buy a Wireless router. My question is: why? The USB connector was so easy: just install the CD, plug in the connector, and register you're system. Isn't easy installation Nintendo's goal? Not to mention I'll have to buy a wireless router first.

Is it still possible to use the USB connector? Has Nintendo made any plans to bring it back? Or is all hope lost for it and I'll have to go the way of a Wireless router?

My old DS fell on the floor a couple times, and it still worked. Other than that, I try to take good care of my systems. I'm especially gentle to the DS lite.

I wonder how Link would do in Mario's world, without the ability to jump very high...

Anyway, good drawings. I especially like the second one (Mario's expression is priceless!). Keep up the great work!
