When I'm not playing Mario (which I don't much anymore), I usually go back to this thing called 'life'.  It's a scary concept.  I used to be able to play video games to my heart's content; but alas!  No longer can I bask in the 8 and 16 bit goodness I once knew.  School, friends, future plans; if they haven't caught you now, they will.

I never realized how many people were against the classic save-the-princess plot.  It must be all part of some feminazi plan to take over the world!  ...or something.

I don't know.  Throw me a frickin' bone here, people!

How on earth could anyone in their right mind say that SM64 didn't introduce any new concepts?  It was the first frickin' Nintendo game in 3D for crying out loud!  How can a pioneer follow in others' footsteps?

Sorry for the insults.

Yes, all the new demo screenshots are breathtaking.  (Link looks a bit feminine, but that will surely change.)  Ah yes... all is according to plan!  Everything looks perfect.  I'm excited about the Samus demo.  The N64 was not graced with a Metroid game; perhaps Nintendo has realized their folly and is developing Metroid for the Game Cube!

Wow, even I have more posts that that...

I'd like to see some of this artwork.  He was an interesting person; I'm sure his art is even more intriguing.

Yeah, Mario Kart is a lot of fun.  I'm sure that I'd love Mario Golf and Mario Tennis, too (come on, it's Mario!)

Guess I'm just a little bitter about the delay of SM64 2 and SMRPG 2...

I'm trying to edit my signature and to erase my ICQ number (I no longer use ICQ).  I thought maybe the script was acting up because I was erasing the ICQ field, but when I tried to edit the signature without erasing my ICQ it still gave the same error message.

I don't completely agree with all these Mario games with no plot- in particular the sports titles.  It's cute and all, but I (personally) would like to see some Mario games with real substance.  I mean, if I want to play tennis (or any other sport) I go out and play.  In the real world.  Not in a simulation.  Does anyone know what I mean?  I think that making a sports game with popular characters just to make a few bucks detracts from the original story.

I know everybody disagrees with that opinion, but please don't flame me.

(Speaking of next-gen Nintendo systems) Another site called Zelda Power has a few pictures of the Game Boy Advance.  I don't know the exact URL, but visit the site at <www.zeldapower.com>.  The GBA news is in the 'News' section.

That Game Cube controller might take some getting used to... if you look closely at the plug on the game pad, it looks almost like the plugs on the N64 controller.  Any word on backward-compatibility of the console?

I usually browse with both Netscape and IE, and the little mushroom color confusion only happens to me while using Netscape.  Could that have something to do with it?

I didn't really want to either, because it was my first attempt and I didn't feel ready.  I didn't expect to pass, and so I didn't shave or do anything else to prepare for a good picture.  So on my license I look like a bum...

I think it's pretty obvious what the canon Mario games are, but I'll clarify-

I consider a canon Mario game to be one which directly adds to or supports existing Mario storylines.  In other words, Mario Kart and Mario Party don't count.  Nor do Alleyway or Link's Awakening.  Game Boy Camera isn't one either.  Here's a list of 'Hinopio's Canon Mario Games'

Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario Bros. 2
Super Mario Bros. 3
Super Mario Land
Super Mario Land 2- 6 Golden Coins
Super Mario World
Super Mario World 2- Yoshi's Island
Super Mario RPG
Super Mario 64
Yoshi's Story

Noooo.... not NL's Christmas Vacation, just National Lampoon's Vacation.  The one where they went to Wally World to see Marty Moose?  The one that spoofed Disney World nearly to the point of legal action?

Has anyone seen the movie 'Vacation'?  I love the part where they all get to Wally World and there's a big statue of Marty Moose at the gate holding up a sign saying that the park is closed for a month, and Chevy Chase punches the mooses' nose inside out.

Funny stuff.
