Yes, on the "new, slimmer, more compact PS2", there is no switch in the back to turn it all the way off.  It remains in standby untill the powersource is cut off (aka you unplug it).  I did make a mistake though since I used the new one for turning it off, I should have refered to the new one when turning it on (the is no switch in back to flip on ethier!).

Huh? Um... You didn't see that.

Have you noticed that any PS2 or Xbox fanboy will argue like this:

Me:Nintendo rocks
Xboxfan:but Xbox has Halo.
Me: Nintendo has Mario
Xbox:but Xbox has Halo.
Me: Nintendo is the reason gaming lived this long
Xboxfan:but Xbox has Halo...

You see where I am going with this?  If Xbox and PS2 had lists they may look like this:

PS2:
1)DVD
2)DVD
3)DVD
4)DVD
5)DVD
6)DvD
7)OMG Profanity, violence, drugs!
8)GTA
9)GC is crap
10)OMG lik wei s best.

Xbox

1)Halo
2)Halo
3)Halo
4)Halo
5)Halo
6)Halo 2
7)Halo 2
8)Halo 2
9)Halo 2
10)OMG hAlo 3 may!

I also think that the one problem Nintendo has is Marketing.  I first Saw a Super Mario
64 DS commercial in Febuary and I have yet to see a Prime 2 one.  As for the User friendly argument Nintendo is more, at least more than the PS2(never used an Xbox).
GC turn on: Plug in, press power button
GC turn off: press power
PS2on: Plug in, flip switch, press button.
PS2off(new one btw): hold power for 2 sec,
unplug.

'nuff said.

Is it just me or are the Mario Cartoons badly animated even for DIC standards?  A few other shows by them had horible animation, but I think they really blew it for Mario.  When Peach's voice comes out of Luigi's mouth, you know somthing is wrong.  I didn't notice that in the Sonic cartoons(also made by DIC)...

Glad you like them! My graphics program distorted my sprites when I posted them, so I was hoping that didn't cause a problem!
Here's a reprint:

Man, you are everyone's lackey here aren't you Mfan?

Your work is very good.  I was thinking of going into spriting myself, But do you think You might help me with my sprite? I like mine the way it is, but could you sprite him in a red hoodie or shirt or somthing? With some basic poses (like a sonic style run)?

My pic is Here:

I think this may help to end the whole "Sonic could never be in it!" thing, or it could make it worse.  I found this while searching around.  It's a quote from big_smile of the GHZ:

"Yuji Naka recently visited Australia to indulge in his passion for racing car driving and was interviewed by the native version of Edge magazine. Although the article is brief, it lessens some of the enigma surrounding his future, and past, plans.

It seems that Naka-san originally planned for Sonic to appear in Super Smash Brothers Melee, but abandoned the idea due to time constraints. The experience, however, has increased the possibility of Sonic and Mario teaming-up for a future adventure. While highlighting his close relationship with Nintendo, Naka reaffirmed his support for both the Playstation 2 and X-Box, but acknowledged some of the troubles the latter has had in the Japanese markets.

Naka-san also expressed his excitement for the next wave of handheld consoles, but revealed that he has yet to receive a PSP development kit and is partly concerned about the battery life of the system."

I'm not sure a bout what truth this has, but what do you have to say now guys?
