Yeah, my official Yoshi's Island guide lists all 130+ enemies, along with a description and how they can/can't be beaten.  Very nice.

Umm... okay.

And so they ate Robin's minstrels, and there was much rejoicing.  <yay>

Mario Chat / Re: Are you a non biased gamer?
« on: August 22, 2000, 11:28:46 AM »
I only consider myself biased against the Sony Playstation.  Not the games for it, just the concept of a be-all and end-all home entertainment megaplex (PS2?).  Now _there's_ a company that's just out for money...

I have always been a big fan of Nintendo (of course) and Sega.  Making video games is truly an art; an art that these two companies and their subsidaries have continually pushed to it's limits and beyond.  Sega might make a few administrative errors here and there, but they're still great at making games.

I'm not sure what to think about the X-box.  From what I've heard, the thing will look fantastic, and that's great if you're into the eye-candy thing.  I don't think that Microsoft is just doing it for the money though; they already have enough as it is ; )

About the X-box- I read a press report in which Bill Gates explained his vision for computers in the future.  He said that rather than making the PC the staple computing hardware, he saw several smaller, dedicated, networked machines working together and sharing resources throughout the home/office/etc.  Now I don't know if MS will see this dream to reality, but they certainly have the means to do it.

Those Japanese guys are pretty funny.  They made up some pretty cheesy spoofs, though.

Marioro?  I thought Nintendo was a family-friendly company ; )

About the hidden chests- my official Nintendo Power player's guide says that there are 39 hidden treasure chests, but 39 is a wierd number.  Plus, even after getting all 39, the talking chest (name?) in Monstro Town still says you have 1 more to find.

AAARGH!

In war we're tough and able;
Quite in-de-fa-ti-gable!
Between our quests
We sequin vests
And impersonate Clark Gable!
It's a busy life in Camelot,

I have to push the pram a lot.

PS.- My History teacher (an avid Python fan) told me that 'pram' is British-English for a baby carriage.

Zootalo was quite a character...  a little obnoxious at times, and he loved to spam, but he was a character.  ; )

There's not much news now, but just wait 'til the Dolphin hits.  Then there'll be PLENTY of news... and newbies.

I remember .'<-\=]`~Kat~`[=/->'., wonder where (s)he went?

Umm... I think Deezer says not to advertise web sites to deter shameless self advertisers and spammers.  Also note that the rules allow the inclusion of URLs as a source of information.

That would be helpful in identifying the more popular threads.  It would be cool if threads had different icons depending on their age, too.

Speaking of Monty Python:

We're the Knights of the Round Table;
We dance whene'er we're able!
We do routines
And chorus scenes
And footwork im-pec-cable!
We dine while here in Camelot,
We eat ham and jam and Spam a lot!

On second thought, let's not go to Camelot; it is a silly place.

Dude, you guys need to chill out.

CobraCommander and
WildMarioGuy- Let me clue you in on something here-

David Dayton is on TMK staff.  If you're gonna flame somebody, I'd suggest NOT flaming him.  I repeat, David Dayton is on TMK staff.  If you really want to get banned, go ahead.

Just FYI.

If you are preparing the recipe for Spam and eggs I posted earlier, make sure the Spam and eggs are fresh.

You must mean a full online version of a guide, because I have a hard copy of the Nintendo Power Yoshi's Island guide.  It is very extensive and extremely helpful.  I also found a cheap Prima guide for Yoshi's Story, but we all know how bad Prima stinks.  It shows where all the melons are, though.
