I only consider myself biased against the Sony Playstation. Not the games for it, just the concept of a be-all and end-all home entertainment megaplex (PS2?). Now _there's_ a company that's just out for money...
I have always been a big fan of Nintendo (of course) and Sega. Making video games is truly an art; an art that these two companies and their subsidaries have continually pushed to it's limits and beyond. Sega might make a few administrative errors here and there, but they're still great at making games.
I'm not sure what to think about the X-box. From what I've heard, the thing will look fantastic, and that's great if you're into the eye-candy thing. I don't think that Microsoft is just doing it for the money though; they already have enough as it is ; )
About the X-box- I read a press report in which Bill Gates explained his vision for computers in the future. He said that rather than making the PC the staple computing hardware, he saw several smaller, dedicated, networked machines working together and sharing resources throughout the home/office/etc. Now I don't know if MS will see this dream to reality, but they certainly have the means to do it.
