General Chat / Mario in popular music!

Hey, everyone.

Who thinks it would be a cool idea to have a band (a rock band, I suppose) that wrote serious, in-depth, lengthy compositions with well thought out lyrics, but based their songs upon Mario? Or things revolving around this? I'm very musically oriented; maybe we could form a real TMK band and take the entire world in a storm of ?-Blocks, Koopa Shells, and annoying Luigi voiceovers.

Lakitu's voice rang out across the multitudes of cheering Kart fans, setting them into an excited frenzy...

"This is it, folks! The final race, the one you all really came to see! The grande finale! The one all you Goombas, Koopas, Toads, and other such Mushroom Kingdom lifeforms will be glued in your very seats for!--that is, if you don't decide to stand and cheer for your favorite team."

Peach clasped her hands in front of herself, looking down to the racetrack from her Royal Balcony seat, "Oh, I hope Mario wins. He has a lot of trophies already, but I told him I'd bake him a cake if he did--that's why he's really racing."

Daisy giggled, "You bake enough cakes for Mario to feed the Goomba family that lives near me. How do you find the time for it? What with all the parties, golfing, tennis..."

Princess Toadstool shrugged, "The Castle kitchen staff helps out sometimes."

Toadsworth piped in from nearby, stepping to the front of the booth, speaking from behind his mustache, "Ah, Master Mario is racing for the challenge of it, the excitement, as is Master Luigi... and don't be so modest, Your Highness. You achieve a lot for one who's close-to-most often pasttime is getting captured."

Peach frowned, "I just get captured so Mario can come save me..."

The three of them, along with other Castle-dwelling Toads, all laughed at this; it was a beautiful, sunny day in the Mushroom Kingdom, as if the Shine Sprites had decided to give the sun to all of the Kingdom, not just Isle Delfino. The only clouds were sparse, large and fluffy-white, probably because of the random Nimbus people peppered throughout the stadium audience.

Out on the track, though, tensions were high...

Mario looked over his shoulder to Luigi, his younger brother, "This is it, bro, the final race."

Luigi nodded lightly, tightening his hold on the back of the Kart a bit, "You think we can-a do it?"

Mario turned his head to look to the other two teams; Bowser and his belligerent offspring, and the Bros.' archtypes, Wario and Waluigi... it would be a tricky, dangerous race. Mario turned back to Luigi,

"I think we can do it, we've-a bested them before. After all, we are the...

...Super Mario Brothers!" They concluded together.

Lakitu's voice rang out again, "Allllllllllllllllllllright, folks! The race is starting! Each team must make their way fairly around the track 3 times, and be the first to cross the Finish line, to win that Golden Trophy!"

Bowser snarled, looking over to Mario, "You're both going down, chumps! I'll squash you and those purple-prancin' wannabes!"

Wario snarled, and Waluigi chimed in, "Hey, spikey! Who're you-a callin' wannabes?! You're about to find a Bob-omb shoved right--" ...Waluigi trailed off, muttering the rest of his boastful obscenity. Bowser simply sneered, looking ahead again, growling under his fiery breath, "Morons..."

Three... Two... One...

GO!!!!

The feet hit the pedals, and all three teams started off, the Mario Bros. medium-weight Kart pulling ahead of the heavier Karts of their opponents. Dirt shot up from the tires, giving way to a rising cloud of dust that settled over the Karts.

The Mario Brothers quite quickly pulled ahead, being the lightest of the three teams, Wario and Waluigi behind them, followed by Bowser and Bowser Junior. As Mario and Luigi surely had the most fans in the audience, a cheer filled the air from the stadiums, many Koopas and Toads standing to cheer for their favorite Kingdom-saving plumbers.

Bowser rammed the Wa- Bros. hard, his big spiked Kart knocking theirs towards a wall, but they drifted back in towards the center of the track, hitting an Item block and obtaining a Red Shell.

"This'll show that big turtle to throw his weight around!" Waluigi sneered, whipping the Red Shell forward... it spun, and collided with Bowser's Kart, sending him and Bowser Junior spinning around and into the sand at the side of the track.

Meanwhile, Mario and Luigi had gained a substantial lead; Luigi checked over his shoulder one more time, and then switched with Mario, continuing to barrel ahead, now onto the second lap.

The Koopa King snarled, "Those tricksters are low. Let's see them avoid this..."

Switching places with Bowser Junior, and letting his son drive, Bowser took up the Item Wielder's position, waiting for a moment before unleashing his massive spiked shell onto the track.

The ginormous shell of spiked'ness went careening down the track, skimming into Wario and Waluigi's purple kart and knocking it into the Start/Finish line post, and continued on towards the Mario Brothers.

Mario looked over his shoulder, "Oh no! Luigi, step on it! That shell's-a comin' fast!" Luigi sped up as well as he could, bumping a curb... the shell missed them, but rammed furlong into the stadium wall, quaking it and snapping part of the foundation.

As Mario and Luigi came skidding to an alarmed stopped, they watched the stadium begin to tremor and shake, and the area supporting a formidable group of Bob-Ombs fell forward, releasing the explosive patrons onto the track.

Bowser raises his clawed fist in triumph, taking over for his son again, speeding forward with no heed to the bomb field ahead. As Mario pulled out, Bowser blindsided him, and the two of them went spinning into the bombs...

You can imagine the EXPLOSION. I mean... that's one big BOOM!

Princess Peach and Princess Daisy started down from their Royal seats, moving towards the track, horrified; were Mario and Luigi okay? Who would finish the race? What about all the hurt Bob-ombs?

But as the smoke settled... all that was left were the randomly felled Bob-ombs. No burning tires, twisted metal, torn green or red fabric. It was as if Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Bowser Junior had simply disappeared in the explosion.

Peach raised her gloved hands to her face, "Oh no... what happened?"

Toadsworth frowned, flustered, "That... that makes no sense! There would be body part--I mean..."

Peach turned around and began to fight back her tears, but just then Daisy pointed, "Look!"

They all looked, and look they did; within the center of the Bob-omb carnage, a swirling portal was closing, as if it were a tear in Time or Universal balance; Mario, Luigi, and the Koopas must have been sucked into it! But where did it lead...?

Luigi wearily opened his eyes, looking up at a black ceiling through blurred vision, his hat lying partially over his face... he heard the groan of Mario, and sat up, his head pounding with pain, "Wh... where are we?"

Is it just me, or does it have a feel like the original Mario Party? Seems like the games are simpler... a lot of button mashing ones.

Also, for those who own it, what's your Pump n' Jump yard record?

It was a beautiful day. The sun shone as brightly in the sky as Kirby had ever seen it shine. The sparse clouds were perfectly bubbly and white, and birds sang as serene choirs in the gently swaying trees. The breeze was warm and caressing, and Kirby whistled as he walked along.

His destination? Well, he didn't know. He had simply woken up, and felt inclined to walk upon a never-traveled path. Kirby's distinctly oval footsteps were the only on the path, quite possibly the only to ever touch the soil he now tread upon, though Dreamland's Savior was curious as to why no one would have taken this path before now.

It was quite nearby his house, in fact, he could see it from the doorway. The appearance of this path is what had prompted him to take this adventure-seeking stroll in the first place. Light drifted over the path in a dusty haze, and most of the previously described beauty of the day was shut out by the thickening trees on either side of the path. So Kirby whistled to keep himself company.

Just out of curiousity, Kirby turned around in his tracks, to see how far he had gone. The path he had been traversing was overladen with shadows, so that it appeared as though he had simply stepped out of a black void. Before being able to react, a gravelly voice spoke up from behind the pink Dreampuff...

"Ahem... little one... ya' want to continue on this path, it'll cost yeh'."

Kirby turned around, setting his curious and bewildered gaze upon the hunched form of an old man, whose wide-brimmed hat slanted down over his face, concealing it in darkness. He was short, only a little taller than Kirby, and very thin.

Kirby lifted his stubby arms to his sides to indicate that he had no money, and stepped back from the old man a little.

The old man simply chuckled, sneering beneath the obscurity of his wide-brimmed cap...

"That's too bad, little one... too bad, yes... you'll have to come with me!"

The man lunged at Kirby, quite weakly, and the agile Dreampuff jumped nimbly out of his path, landing to the side, alarmed and confused.

The man turned, swinging his hand out to grab at Kirby's pretty-much ungraspable form. Kirby tilted backi a little, frowning at this unwanted attack, and skipping back onto the path, away from the old man. As the hunched form of the man rushed Kirby, the pink Dreampuff reacted in his usual manner: he opened his mouth, inhaling the man easily, and, more out of curiousity than need, copied the old man's powers.

As he spit him out onto the path, the old man landed on his feet. He turned to face Kirby, who was now equipped with the old man's wide-brimmed hat.

The old man sneered, "Yes! You've done it now! A new Dimension Walker is born, and I am freed from my curse! You little fool! Ahahahaha!!"

With a strong gust of wind and the black plumage of smoke, the old man disappeared, leaving a bewildered and slightly frightened Kirby on the dark path...

OOC: Hey I never got stabbed only Luigi did..

IC: Mario looked around, still in metal form, noticing everyone was gone. He looked over as Luigi lay on the ground with a spear through his stomach. Suddenly, Peach and KoopaParaTroopa landed a few feet away from him. "Peach-a are you all right?!", asked Mario, worried. "I'm fine now," she said as she patted KoopaParaTroopa on the shell and hopped off. Mario turned back to Luigi,"Brother! Are you okay-a!?", asked Mario. Luigi let out a grumble that sounded like 'what do you think', and then was silent. Mario thought for a moment..then walked over to Luigi. He grabbed the tip of the spear, and carefully pulled the spear from his brother's body. Luigi looked up, forcing a smile, and said quietly,"Green....mushroom...there...", pointed Luigi. Mario looked to find a green mushroom sitting peacefully, untouched. He ran and grabbed it, then ran back to Luigi and handed it to him. Luigi used all his strength to take a bite of it. Then everything was silent.

A few moments later, Luigi jumped to his feet and backflipped, proving that he was A-OK. Mario smiled,"Luigi! Your-a alright!". "Couldn't be better-a brother!", responded Luigi. Peach and Koopa Troopa smiled. "Oh, I almost forgot!", exclaimed Koopa Troopa. He then tossed Luigi a Fire Flower and Mario a Toonooki suit. Mario smiled,"Thanks-a Koopa Troopa! I should've trusted you from the start!". Mario then turned to Luigi,"We need to go and attack Bowser while he's off guard!", exclaimed Mario. Mario took off his Metal Cap and pushed it into his pocket. He quickly transformed into Toonooki Mario. Mario then turned to Koopa Troopa,"We'll need your-a help since you know Bowser's Island well, I presume." Koopa Troopa nodded. Mario then turned to Peach,"Come if you-a want." Mario then got a running start, and leaped with bravery into the air, flying towards Bowser's Island. Luigi began to run at a quick pace, following Mario as KoopaParaTroopa sprouted his white wwings and flew along with them. They were off.

Mario glanced from Luigi to Kamek, who was laying on the ground. He floated over to Luigi, still glowing, and whispered,"Is he dead?". Luigi shrugged, not looking at Mario but staring at the crater Kamek had made in his fall.

Mario landed slowly at the edge of the crater, crossing his arms, landing and making he ground almost shake. His glowing golden eyes glared down at the what appeared to be a life-less Kamek. Luigi stayed in the air, surveying the grounds around him. Mario could then feel the Mushroom's power fading, and all at once dissapeared. Luigi landed as they both returned to normal size and status. Mario knew the Golden Mushroom's would appear somewhere else in Mushroom Land, where they could be called on when needed.

Mario turned around to see The Entire Koopa Army, and Bowser, ready to attack. Mario had to act fast. He knew in this Mushroom field many useful items had been buried by the ancient Mushroomians to be dug up when needed. He looked around quickly to find some ruffed up ground. Mario bent to a knee and dug out a small chest.

He opened it to find a faded, green cap, well worn with age. "This must be a Metal Cap!" thought Mario. Luigi had taken aware of the army behind him, and was ready to fight. Mario stood up, shoving the hat into his pocket and turning around to face what was there..

OOC: Hey Wario I don't think Mushroom Kingdom would get blown away that easily...

IC: "Oh so it's him.", commented Mario. "Wait! Did you say Kamek's army?!", questioned Luigi. "That's what I said!," answered The ParaKoopaTroopa. Mario thought for a moment, then said,"I have an idea. Luigi follow me, the rest of you fight if you want but be careful.", said Mario. He walked over to Peach and hugged her, "Just incase I don't come back..", he said. Mario kicked the door open to the Castle and ran out, Luigi following. Mario ran into the Musroom Wood.

"There!", said Mario as he pointed to a stump of and old, rotting tree. "A stump is-a gonna save us?", commented Luigi. Mario didn't reply as he ran over to the stump, Luigi following. He reached in and pulled out two brightly lit golden Mushrooms. "These are the last existing Gold Super Mushroom's on the planet!", Mario commented as he handed one to Luigi. "Wow Mario..uhm...what do they-a do?", asked Mario. "You'll-a see!", commented Mario as he absorbed the Mushroom's Power.

Mario suddenly began to grow. He grew to 10 times his normal size, growing stronger and faster, his eyes glowing gold constantly as he burst from his armor, wearing gold suspenders and a red shirt and hat. As Luigi abosrbed the Mushroom, he undertook the same chages ad learned all the secrets of the Legendary Gold Super Mushroom. Mario smirked, Luigi grinned, and commented, "Now we're really the Super Mario Brothers! Lets-a GO!", he commented and began running. Luigi moved in a super human blur, leaving a trail of gold star dust wherever he moved. Mario did the same, laughing as he rushed out of the Mushroom Wood with Luigi by his side. Mario whispered something to Luigi, who nodded and said he agreed. Mario's red hat sprouted golden wings, an so did Luigi's, as they took to the air in a flash of gold.

They hovered far over the Mushroomian army, following it as it headed towards Kamek's forces. Mario formed a giant orange fireball in one hand and smirked, "Kamek here we come...".

OOC: Okay that's it no more Mr. Nice Guy I am not gonna get beat up..

IC: Mario looked down at the Koopa Troopa's shell in hand and thought,"Why am I helping him?!". Mario growled and hurled the shell into the depths of Bowser's army. He then ran towards battle, leaping in front of the Mushroom army, next to Toad. He rammed his shoulder into a Goomba, throwing it back causing a big mess. Mario then had an idea, thinking,"I sure hope this armor is strong enough." He grabbed a Bob-Omb in each hand, and jumped into the middle of Bowser's army, where he was attacked with Koopa swords, which still were not strong enough to peirce all his armor, Mario braced himself, gritted his teeth, and through the two Bob-Ombs down to his own feet. He saw the explosion, then, as the dust settled, he stood in a large crater, holding his Large Axe, with bodies of Koopa Troopa's and Goomba's all around him. He took a step, putting his foot on a Koopa shell and crushing it. The Mushroom Army began rushing in at the rest of the Bowser army. Mario then noticed that the Mushroomians didn't know how to work the tanks. Mario smirked, and ran up and jumped to the top of a tank. The Mushroomian jumped out, and Mario took his place. Mario drove into the depths of the Koopa army, crushing Goomba's and Koopa Troopa's, firing Bullet Bills at the hordes of Bowser's followers. Mario noticed the Mushroom Army was taking alot of damage from a Flying Clown Copter containing many Koopa's and Goomba's who were throwing bob-ombs down onto the Mushroomians. Mario jumped out of the tank, growled, and jumped his highest, grabbing onto the Clown Copter's side. He pulled himself up, being attacked by the Goomba's and Koopa's it contained. He slammed his axe into one of the Koopa Troopa's shells, shattering it. Mario then leaned backwards, tiltling the Copter so all the Goomba's and Koopa's fell from the sky. Mario grabbed the bags of Bob-Ombs and dropped them down to Toad, who was the general of the Mushroomian army, and fighting greatly for it. Mario noticed that the Mushroomians had begun to win, the Koopa's and Goomba's backing down a bit. Toad ordered the Yoshi Riders to charge, and charge they did. They rushed forward clobbering Bowser'a army. Mario jumped back down, and landed and rolled to his feet. Mario surveyed the ongoing battle for a moment, thinking, then he got at idea. He jumped on a Yoshi that had no rider and rode forward, and told the Yoshi to eat all the Koopa Troopa's and Goomba's he liked. The Yoshi yelled 'Yoshi!' and began swallowing all the enemies around Mario, turning them into eggs.

Mario watched as the Bowser army decreased, many eggs laying on the battle feild being undesturbed. Toad sent in the rest of the Mushroomian army, and they finished off the remaining soldiers in Bowser's army. Mario hopped off the Yoshi, noticing it had become quiet. He saw Kamek flying towards the Mushroom Woods, needing cover. Mario smiled as Mushroom Kingdom still stood proud.

OOC: Hey I am Mario on this RPG not you, I'm sorry, but I got the place as Mario first. Mario Mario's post did not happen, Wendy's did. That is all cleared up then.

IC: Mario flew from the explosion, his clothes being ripped and shredded as he slammed into a tree and fell to the ground. Mario's head spun, trying to figure out what just happened. He struggled to his feet, still as Super Mario, being bigger than usual. He un-sborobed the Mushroom's power, shrinking back to normal size. Mario held his head and opened his eys to see Toad, Peach, and Luigi standing in front of him. "Hey-a...guys," stammered Mario shakily. "Mario what-a happened!?," asked a worried Luigi. "Luigi! Can't you see he can't even barely stand? This is no time to make him explain something!", commented Toad. "Mario are you okay?", asked Peach. Mario nodded and attempted a smile. "Yeah I'm-a fine now," replied a recovered Mario. Wendy stumbled up from the explosion,"Whats going on here?," she yelled. Luigi turned around, "Ah! A Koopa kid! What do you want!? You are outnumbered!", yelled Luigi. "Hey I'm helping you guys to get back at my dad, calm down plumber boy!", answered Wendy. "Where are we any way? And why are-a you guys out here?," asked Mario. "We went searching for you!", answered Toad. "It's kind of a long story..", added Peach. "Hey..its-a getting dark!", implied Luigi. Mario brushed himself off, "We should make camp or something..then we can explain-a everything..", Mario said knowingly.

Mario looked up "Huh?", he gasped. "Oh great..more trouble!", thought Mario. "Hey Mario! Need a lift?", yelled what appeared to be Wendy O. Koopa riding in Bowser's Clown Car. "Not from you! You'll do something bad to me!", Mario yelled. "No I won't! I'm getting back at dad for leaving me out!", replied what appeared to be a truthful Wendy. Mario grabbed a Bob-Omb just in case, and jumped into the Clown Car. "If you say so..take me to Mushroom Kingdom please," Mario said in a nice voice. He then waited to see what happened..still rather worried..

OOC: Heyy! I am REALLY getting sick of being kidnapped now! Like some bird could just....do that. And what about Nimbus Land? What gives?? Oh well...

IC: Mario was swept into the air being carried in the beak of the giant bird. He had no idea where he was going, or who his kidnapper was, but he was pretty mad. He struggled angrily in the bird's beak, "Augh! I must get...free! I need to warn Peach and the rest about Bowser's plan! YOUR ENDAGERING MUSHROOM KINGDOM!", Mario screamed at the girl riding the bird. She said nothing, just stared ahead. Mario felt along the pockets of his trousers, finding nothing...except lint. As they flew through the air, Mario spotted....a ? mark Box! Maybe it had something for him. He stopped struggling and focused on reaching the box. Mario stretched for it, and knocked it open!

It contained a Super Mushroom. Mario grinned slyly, and absorbed the Mushroom's power. He suddenly began to grow in size, surprising the bird and the rider. He grew until the bird had to let him go. He was about to fall, when he grabbed the bird's leg and pulled himself up onto it, facinfg the rider. She gasped and looked up at him. Mario growled, and asked,"Why did you capture me? I always get away..heh..and since you have endangered The Mushroom Kingdom, and Peach, and my friends, you have really made me mad!," Mario yelled. He jumped and landed on the bird, knocking it and the rider from the air. He began to fall, but caught a tall mushroom, still up in the clouds. He climbed onto it, panting, and dusted himself off. Mario stood up shakily and looked around. "Oh just great, it has to be NOW that I'm stuck in the middle of no-where!", Mario scoffed.

Mario Chat / Charlie-ooo!!

Did anyone else read the interview with Mario's oh-so-dedicated voice actor? And if so, after reading it, did you wonder if he was kind of acting like Mario? He was really happy, which is sadly uncommon among lots of people these days. He kind of reminded me of Mario. But the real question is: Was he always like that, or did he get that way playing Mario's voice so much? Dun dun dun!!

Mario zoomed down behind Peach's castle, landing in a half eaten, knawed garden, which once was full of beautiful flowers. As Mario's Wing Cap wore off, he thought to himself and said aloud, "Darn Yoshi! Thats the fifth time this month!". He slipped in a secret entrance that he had discovered, and slipped out behind a bookcase in the Castle library. Books of Mushroom Kingdom history, short stories, atlases, and dictionaries lined the walls. Mario walked out of the library, wiping his brow and stepping into the main hall to see Toad laying on a couch, with part of the Mushroom on his head bitten out.

"Wow-a Toad how'd that-a happen!?," asked Mario. Peach, still looking rather peeved after finding out about Yoshi's little snack, looked up as Mario said this. "Mario!? Where have you been? You left me here without telling me anything!," said Peach. "Well...," Mario trailed..."It's-a long story," answered Mario shakily.

"It started out after I left The Castle to look around, after Luigi's pre-warning," said Mario, clearing his throat and continuing," Then I was walking in the woods, and a Goomba forced me to eat a Poisonous Mushroom..somehow..," continued Mario sheepishly.

"I woke up, tied to a chair in Bowser's Castle...him telling me his plan..for some reason..like it was the greatest thing in the world..", Mario implied. OOC: Hey what gives? I didn't have much of a chance..Master at gaming. Plus, I never said I left Peach's Castle! I could still be counting coins or-a something! Bt I'll be a good sport for now and play along..sigh..

IC: Mario...listening to Boswers plan...began to wonder how he got himself into this mess. He sruggled to loosen the ropes that kept him tied to a chair. He checked his pockets, and found...a Fire Flower! *Must have forgotten about this!*, Mario thought craftily. Boswer turned his back and clasped his arms behind it, stilll going on about his plan like it was the most brilliant thing in the world. Mario stealthily absorbed the fire flower, and smirked and Bowser kept rambling. He formed a fireball, and burned his ropes off, Bowser still not noticing. Mario krept up behind Bowser, and grabbed his tail! "AHA! Gotcha! Heehee!," said Mario. Boswer growled and began trying to kick Mario. Mario began to spin Bowser around ad around and around and let him go smashing him through Bowser's castle wall. Mario ran and jumped out the hole Bowser had made. He grabbed a Wing-Cap and zoomed towards Mushroom Kingdom, planning to report what he had heard!
