Mario Chat / Re: Favorite Mario RPG
« on: June 28, 2005, 08:19:43 PM »
Oh, man. Hard thinking. I've played every single Mario RPG, and they were all so great. I can't choose! Well, I guess I'll choose Paper Mario - The Thousand-Year Door. It was just so great, but the others were great, too. I guess it wins by a nose. As for this "argument" over Super Mario RPG, I don't care. It may not be real 3D, but it was still great in every way, unlike other games. As for the music, all was great, but I choose the song that comes up if you leave it on the file select screen for a while. You know what I'm talking about.

Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom on www.videogamedc.com is a really great flash movie, the best I've ever seen.

Mario games = good, no matter what anyone thinks. My goal in life is to get a copy of every single Mario game to be ever released in this country. My brothers keep nagging me because they want to sell the Mario games that I haven't played yet. I will play them something, and do absolutely everything possible in them. Ha!

Pokémon? I'm still shocked it's still going strong even today. I'm so sick of those games. It's totally lost its appeal after so many games. As for Mario, he shall never die! Nintendo isn't close to disappearing yet. It's just annoying to say that Nintendo isn't where the big boys are. The company is trying to appeal to those slightly younger gamers and those who don't appreciate the modern-type games (most of them). I don't believe that Nintendo is going away, but maybe they could try harder. Maybe they should advance the main storyline more than just an adventure out of nowhere (like Mario and Peach getting engaged [shot]). Ha ha ha! Long live Mario! Even if there were 1.5 million PSPs sold in its first week of release, that still will not pull me away from my loyalty!

I hope it's not cancelled. I think it would make it somewhat...interesting. Anyways, I'm glad that there are more Mario sports games, especially one that involve large teams. It makes it all the more exciting. Must get them all!

Well, Petey's been appearing everywhere since Super Mario Sunshine. He's starting to get a tad (sarcastic) annoying.

What do you mean, you consider Bowser to be a love interest for Peach.

--Do not read the following if you have not won a tournament in Mario Power Tennis with Bowser.--

If you do what I just said, Bowser asks for a kiss from Peach, but she refuses. You can't call that a love interest. Dumbkopf!

Video Game Chat / Re: Favorite quote from a Nintendo/Mario game?

This is so great. For me, anything Fawful says is hilarious. Take the following, for example:
"Your lives that I spit on are now but a caricature of a cartoon drawn by a kid who is stupid!"
Ha! Now taste the finale, when carelessness opens the door to a comeback not expected by you!"
"In the last moments of the finale of the finale, when relief leads to negligence that begets rashness...that is when the comeback that faltered comes back and beats your pathetic comeback that I scoff at!"
"Urggh...Unless my mind is crazy, I have somehow managed to lose...this must be fate...urggh...I must accept the defeating..."

My personal favorite:
"The mustard of your doom!"

Mario Chat / Re: Paper Mario: The 1000 Year Door....

It's Princess Eclair that Luigi's trying to save. I think there's too much of the naming characters and places after food: the Chestnut King, the Waffle Kingdom, Plumbelly Village. Although, it was funny, when Luigi dressed up as...I'm not going to say it. You figure it out if you haven't yet.

And Trainman, it's a fan-fiction I'm writing, which will be my life's projuct. I had written it before, but I jumped too far too fast with it. I mean, I had Mario and Peach kiss way before the ending and then propose to her. That calls for some serious rewriting. I'll probably post it on the forums, so watch out.

Enough of this. Back to the original topic.

I think we know it, anyway. I named mine Demonio (it's red). It wasn't until later that my brother pointed out it was "devil" in Spanish. Why didn't I see that?

That makes as much sense as anything here. Actually, this game was most likely made to appeal to female gamers, as there are more of them around, but I think they aimed a bit too low on the age scale to get a lot of people. I'll still get it anyways (BTW, I'm male).

I can't believe it, but I pick...Bowser!!! It's not that I like evil characters. It's just that I love the way he always lucks out. And his expression when he's shocked is so hilarious!
