Definately Goombario and Kolorado.  Luigi comes in second, merely because he doesn't do much in PM.  Watt's pretty cute with her "umm"s and "uhh"s and "That big monster is gonna beat us up for sure"s, so I'd put her third.

I myself would suggest using Watt as a partner, Mega Smash, Feeling Fine, Zap Tap, and Happy Heart/Flower badges, and have one or two Life Shrooms.
Just keep using Mega Smash and Electro Dash, plus block Bowser's light wave attack if you can.  If he kills you once and the Life Shroom goes, then use a Deluxe Feast or Jelly Ultra.  When Mega Smash runs out, use Star Storm, then Shooting Stars.
Of course, this is my strategy and a lot of other ones will work too.

Yeah, you can make Lime Candy by putting a Lime in place of the Lemon (no big surprse there).  If you give Anti Guy a piece of Lemon Candy, he'll surrender his treasure box without a fight (there's a Power Plus badge inside I think).

Ummm... that's the Koopa from the movie, who was a completely different guy.

Aside from that, Mario's name is Mario (first and last), hence the Mario in the title "Super Mario Brothers" is refering to their last name.

Bowser can't have a wife, he's trying to marry Peach.  Miyamoto wouldn't have impurities of such magnitude in his beloved Mario games.

Aye.  Not all Goombas, Koopas, Lakitus, etc. are bad.
I think it has to do with them actually joining the Koopa Troop, then most of the youngin's are just born into Bowser's service.
