Ok, here is the link for the Super Mario music with guitar chords...I wrote in the chord names, but I've never done this before, so bear with me if there are some mistakes/weird things.

Here is the link for the Super Mario 2 Overworld theme.  Just a note, every single midi file that I've found floating around is incorrect...the chords are wrong in many places, and in some places, the basic melody is wrong (compared to the *.nsf).  I wrote this out using the *.nsf file, so it should be accurate.

Just a warning: I wrote this out in a piano score format, but it is VERY difficult to play properly up to tempo.

Enjoy!

(goodie: The Mario64 music will probably be another week...I'm a little busy and won't have time to finish it before then.)

The midi file will do, but essentially i'll just be decompiling the midi and cleaning it up to be readable by humans.  My writing out the midi file will only be as accurate as the midi file that you gave me.  A wave file would definitely be useful to check the accuracy of the midi.

Just a note, when I write any piece of game music out, I don't write out any of the percussion parts.

As for the links not working, try doing this instead:
1) Create a new text file, but save it as an html file.
2) put the following into the file:
<BEGIN FILE>
<a href = "http://put.the.link.in.here">Right click here and choose "Save As"[/url]
<END FILE>
Put as many of these in that file as there are *.pdf files to download.
3) Open this file in your web browser (make sure it's an *.html file, and not a *.txt file) and right click on the links to download them directly.

I have no idea how to do links on this message board, but perhaps you just have to wait for the *.pdf to finish downloading?

goodie: yes, I can do the Super Mario 2 overworld music, but as for the Super Mario 64 ending music, you'll have to give me an accurate midi or *.nsf equivalent for that song (and depending on the complexity of the song, it may not be possible for me to do it).

Hmmm...I've never done guitar chords before, and I'm not familiar with the notation, but give me a few days (or maybe a week or so) and I should be able to figure it out!

Ok, well I should have embedded the font into the pdf files themselves.  If you haven't already gone to the trouble of donwloading all that stuff i said before, you can just re-download these pdf files.  They should work without you having to download anything.

I see what you mean now.  Well to tell you the truth, as far as I know, there ISN'T any way to make an *.nsf file into a noteworthy score.  I do all my conversions by ear (I listen to the nsf file and then write it out by 'hand' into a noteworthy score).  As for the fonts, if you copy the font into your \Windows\fonts directory, it should work.  I'm not entirely sure how you go about installing fonts though.  If that doesn't work, just install a copy of noteworthy composer and it'll install the font for you.

If you mean how I make the *.pdf files, you can't do it with noteworthy.  You need to have a full copy of Adobe Acrobat.  Then when you want to print your score, you choose the Adobe PDF writer as the printer and it 'prints' the score to a pdf file.

Hey Bologna,
Here's the sheet music for the Dr. Mario Fever Theme.  I left out about one bar somewhere in the middle, because the notes in those bars were 'random noise'.  One is in piano score format:

The other is in orchestral score format because the piece is rather complex, and might be hard to follow in piano score format.

Enjoy!

I can do that...but some parts of that song are...odd...so it won't be 100% accurate, but it'll be close :)

I use my perfect pitch to write out the music, but if you mean which program I use, I use Noteworthy Composer to write out the score, then I use Adobe Acrobat to print to a *.pdf file.

Here's the overworld theme...It should be perfectly accurate, since I was using an *.NSF file as reference.

Enjoy!

(At the end of the second page, the game jumps back to the second bar of the first page, but i just stuck that last bar on the third page in to have an 'ending')
