In Super Mario 3, I love World 3's map music.  In the All-Stars version of The Lost Levels, there's this cool little theme if you leave the title screen on without pressing anything.

Where are you stuck?  Once you get past the Hammer Bros., and near the end of the stage, look for a hidden coin block and hidden Poisonous Mushroom so you can cross the gap.  Do this by jumping on top of the blocks, and running and jumping onto the next platform.

Near the very beginning of the stage, and after the first set of red descending platforms, you'll notice a small row of bricks that is really high (not the ceiling bricks).  One of these bricks contains the vine.  Look for a couple of hidden coin blocks, underneath the small row of bricks, by jumping from the ground to reach it.

And I haven't played Paper Mario.  Do they show the name of it in the insturction booklet or is it in the game only?  I could probably get the Paper Mario booklet and read it for myself..

That's great and all, but all I'm interested in is what the official name Nintendo calls it (maybe they might have used the term in one of their strategy guides or via NP)

I'm pretty sure you're talking about The Lost Levels.  World 3-4 is one of the 'maze' Castle stages, so that's probably what you're having difficulty with.

What's the official name of the 'Fire Thing' in the castle stages of Super Mario Bros. and The Lost Levels?  Not the Podoboo, but the Fire that spins in a 360 degree angle.

This has been driving me crazy, because I've been writing a walkthrough (which I just completed-yay!) and just decided to come up with my own name.  If anyone knows, you *must* post it!  Thanx.
