The person who said they agreed with the post above was putting down bm, then this person said the game always gives the loser spiny shells, so tell me if i'm wrong here the only logical way to take this is to apply it to puting down bm.(notice every thing i said was affirming bm and puting down tt)

the only way what luck is going to effect the items is by getting the ones you know how to use.

a single red shell was said to be a very cheap weapon. but even a banana can be used as a shield.

turning along walls and forcing the shell to over run the corner and hitting and wall is also another way to defend against them.

banana peels i have been told are the most useless weapon, try making banana keeps(putting bananas in the lanes where sheels are coming at your safe location), dragging them around behind you between items makes a shield that will stop attacks from behind(or infront if you slam on the brakes and put it in reverse), even higher in the skill department become the peel lobbing master(with a stack of banana peels i can bomb people across the level)

stars are very powerful but rarely used correctly,people throw them away as defense,
but they are best saved until it comes to being slammed into by any one(this is pretty basic but alot i've still seen way to many people use them wrong)

and if any one has any other questions about bm strats i'd be happy to give em a whirl

If you truly believe what determines the winner of battle mode is luck (from the items that you collect), then I believe what I said previouly, people disliking it only because they suck at it, even more.

Battle mode is won by the player who can best; turn, slide, brake, accelerate, and use strategy.  Not set strategy, but strategy that evolves to, and with, the battle.

Trying to follow a set path over and over to get a good time is not skill, but luck, much more so than any thing an experienced player that knows what they are doing will ever use in the battle mode.

Luck in battle mode is your opponent making a mistake, this will cost them dearly.  But is this truly luck, no it is the other player being weak.

I must still believe in only that of the battle mode.


ps- Will some one slap the retard that said, the game gives the losers, in battle mode, spiked shells.

this is not possible, neither can you get the red shell stack

Marior Kart 64 ah yes many good times,(yes the pun is intended).  But how can people not see the total crap of TT, that i do not know.

Time trials are simply the memorizing of the quickest path around the course, may it be through a "tricky" shortcut or what not does not matter.  It is simply doing the same exact pathetic thing over and over until you can do it without even thinking.

Without even thinking hhhmmmm....

that sure sounds fun alright...

The battlemode is the true way.  It is where i started, I gained my skill there, then took it to time trials. TT is nothing, for a true challenge play battle mode.

I see that some say the tt is the only fun mode. They are wrong. Battle Mode gets more intense the more you play it, and the better the poeple are that you play against.

I have been to that oasis that looked so nice, and i have tasted it's tainted waters.
And have returned to the place that is right, where masters can duel or take on multiple opponents at once, the TRUE JUDGE OF SKILL...
