Mario Chat / Re: What do you have?
« on: June 15, 2006, 03:02:02 PM »
Not much, IMO:

--Yoshi plush
--Mario plush
--Mario plush (Wingcap version)
--Luigi plush
--Bowser plush
--Wario plush
--Toad plush
--Super Mario Bros. 2-themed shirt that says "Nintendo Power Player"
--SSBM poster (if that counts :P)
--1-Up shirt
--1-Up watch
--1-Up boxers (usually worn with shirt :))
--Mario Kart clock radio
--Know Your Mushrooms shirt
--A shirt with Toad on it, I think o.o
--Some of the same plushies as above, only with something that when you squeeze them, they talk. :)
--Funky and Cranky Kong plushies (if they count)

That's all I can think of. I obviously have many of the games, too, or else I wouldn't be here.

Ha! I never knew it came in any other color than blue. Coincidentally, I was just about to start a second file, so I guess I would've found out soon enough. Anyway, I named it Kyosuke. :D

Mario Chat / Re: PM and PM: TTYD are not set in a play.

Yeah, but what I was trying to show was that they are not set in plays within video games.

One of my theories behind Mario being paper, though, was that Nintendo wanted to bring back the oldschool feel of Super Mario RPG.  Because when I play Paper Mario, I feel like I'm playing a good ole SNES game.

What does SMRPG have to do with Mario being paper, though? Despite having similar battle systems, the two games were drastically different in terms of graphics. Paper Mario was obviously trying to go for a look of a pseudo-2D sidescroller, while SMRPG tried to create a completely pseudo-3D world.

PS- First Post. :D
