I'm glad somebody caught that.. that's about as long as my battles would last when I had Palkia (or any of the aforementioned Poke Gods) in front, and was using the Poke Radar.
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

Ah, the Poke Radar... so essential for completing the Pokedex, yet so tedious to use...

Eh? How does the Poké Rader help complete the Pokédex?

There are quite a few Pokémon that appear only when using the Radar.
Fangirling over Luigi since 1999.

Unless you want to obtain them all through trade.

We'll have to find a time that's reasonable for both of us... I'm 4 hours ahead of you.

My last Pokemon game was Silver, which I bought a few years ago for just a few dollars.  So I'm pretty behind with all this. However, I still think they should make a new game/remake the original Pokemon Red/Blue for the Wii so that it's three-dimensional.  That is to say, you can move around like in StarFox Adventures.  All the towns would be the same, but updated; perhaps areas like the Power Plant or Pokemon Mansion would require more complex moves to navigate through.  Like jumping.

The Mansion did require jumping.. from a ledge that was one story up.

Diamond and Pearl have 3-D environments, allowing for beautiful effects such as...

...Sprite distortion.

It's because of Team Galactic's tampering with the space/time continuum.

Well, you'd have to have a brain defect to not see this coming... At least they're adding more stuff than just a wormy Giratina (as that was previously all I knew about).

How many more generations will it be until I get smart and just don't buy until "the third one" comes out? (Diamond/Pearl was by no means a bad game, though)

Really? I thought they were... but only because Lizard Dude was absolutely right:

<Lizard_Dude> They made a comic about Bird Person -- http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=263

That being said I'm kicking myself for the same reason, but it's too late for me. There was no third game for FireRed and LeafGreen so I'm not expecting a Crystal remake, and I can only guess it's even further downhill from here. Though maybe not; for example, in Ruby and Sapphire there are no restrictions on trades, so you can get things not in the Hoenn Pokédex as early as you want, and the National Dex automatically comes with it. In Emerald, trades like that get rejected until you get the National Dex.

See, I would know that kind of stuff if I had anyone to trade with in Generation III and/or the DS could use GBA link cables.
