I just have to say, if any of you have played Metroid Fusion, I think it is one of the hardest games I have ever played! I must congratulate Nintendo for making this game that is not only very fun, but very challenging as well.

If you are not familiar with the Metroid series, allow me to explain....
The game series centers around a female bounty hunter known as Samus Aran, who works for the Galactic Federation. She is sent to a planet known as Zebes, to eradicate a dangerous species of parasitic alien known as Metorid. These creatures have the power to suck the life energy out of any living organism.

In Metroid Fusion, the latest title in the series, Samus is exploring the surface of SR388, home of the Metroids, when she is attacked by an unknown parasitic organism called "X". After returing to her ship, Samus starts to lose consciousness and her ship drifts into an asteroid belt. Fortunately, the emergency escape pod ejects her to safety before the ship explodes. A group of scientists find her ship careening helplessly into space, and bring her aboard the Biologic Space Labs, or B.S.L, research station. The scientists see that Samus is in critical condition, since the parasites have multiplied within her cells and are corrupting her nervous system and areas of her Power Suit. The doctors try to surgically remove the infected pieces of Samus's Power Suit, then one doctor proposes a cure. He thinks that if they create a vaccine using Metroid cells, that it might kill off the X parasites in Samus's body. The vaccine works immediately, and Samus regains her health. Samus is then sent to investigate a mysterious explosion in the B.S.L station. Because of the infection by the X parasites, she has lost most of her special abilities, including the Morph Ball, Missiles, Screw Attack, Speed Boost.

That is the basic story in Metroid Fusion. If you have any comments / complaints about the game, post them here.

Yeah, I liked Super Metro... I mean Metroid Fusion.

But yeah, it was a fun game. Nothing original, but fun.

How could you say Metroid Fusion has nothing original in it? The entire Metroid franchise is full of innovative gameplay. Besides, in what other Metroid game besides Fusion does Samus become infected by an X parasite? And what about Metroid Prime, bringing the franchise into 3D for the first time. That was original and innovative.

If you want a game with no more innovation, try the Super Mario series. Those games all have the same repetitive gameplay and story. But I do admit they are fun to play.

Heh, I didn't say the Metroid Series wasn't original. I only said Metroid Fusion wasn't.

And mind you, I wasn't talking about the plot, only the game-play, and mechanics. It's basically a GBA Super Metroid. What? You can grab onto ledges now? Pfft.

Don't get me wrong, I like the game, it delivered what it promised. I like the Metroid series as well, all I'm saying is Fusion wasn't real original, at least in the game-play department.

Hey, you know what they say, "if it isn't broke, then don't fix it." In related to Metroid Fusion, if the gameplay is still good and fun, then don't change it.

Metroid Fusion was the first Metroid game I have played. Is Metroid 2: Return of Samus (for Game Boy) a good game? I want to buy it.

Metroid Fusion is not hard. And it's almost exactly the same in gameplay as Super Metroid.
Thank you, that is all.

That was a joke.

I think Metroid Fusion is too easy. I can beat the SA-X without recieving any damage at all.

Wow, that was a nice adve...er, description of the game.

I found Fusion easy as well, except for a few "getting stuck in a random hall not knowing how to get past" incidents. But hey, who doesn't have those?

If Nintendo ever needs a PR man who will argue forever even if all he does is spout propaganda, Mario Maniac's their man. Then maybe he'll quit preaching to the choir here on this board.

(No offense, MM.)

Eccentricity is my goal. "The stupidest thing I’ve ever heard just came out of Lizard Dude’s typing hands."
