How do I get little characters to put in my posts?

How can I get those little smiley faces and Mario characters? Is it some HTML thing?

It takes HTML to put images in your posts, but HTML has been disabled at this message board. I believe this happened because there were problems of people misusing the privilege in the past.

Some people here know a loophole that allows them to use HTML.  See Fifth's "Throwing Balloons" ...dot ccn thread to see a good use of the ability.

The most important part of Luigison's statement is "good use." HTML has been disabled because people have made bad use of it. As one of those people who know the loophole that Luigison mentioned and has in his signature, I suggest that you don't worry about it. Posting in these forums is fun because of the discussions we engage in, not because of the links and images we can post. You most likely understand the words I am typing, yet I'm not using HTML. It is not necessary, but extra. So it really isn't worth spending a bunch of time thinking about.

You may not care about HTML that much, so sorry if I'm overdoing it a little. But you DID post a topic about it, after all . . .
