Look, we have already has 3 threads about "come vote for Mario." We have had the "Mario needs your help," some other one, and now this one. From the posts from the first thread about this, it seems nobody wants to go vote, so quit bothering us, or post in the original thread, folks.

 As much as I like Mario, I would still vote for Sephiroth.

 Final Fantasy is my favorite game series. To me, it eclipses even Mario. However, I'm not voting at Gamefaq's poll, so you have no need to worry over one vote.

Yes, we have had several threads about voting for Mario at www.gamefaqs.com, but there have been several rounds so far.

In the first round Mario was against Captain Olimar and easly won.

In the second round Mario was againt Cloud and barely won.

Now, in this third round Mario is againt Sephiroth.  He is way behind and it looks like he may get knocked out of the poll.

So if you only voted for Mario in the first  or second rounds you may consider voting for him now in the third round.

Mario was against Cloud last year. He was against Crono in the 2nd round.
And I'd say possibly Crono over Mario, but Mario over Sephiroth... evil...

I'm assuming there are 64 characters in the tournament, correct? Then how is Mario, a finalist from last year, being pitted again Sephiroth, a semi-finalist from last year, in only the 3rd round? I mean, think about it - the EARLIEST these two should meet is in the semi-finals - as Mario should have a #2 rank, and Sephiroth a #3 or #4 rank. By tournament bracket formation rules, the top 4 seeds cannot meet in earlier than the semi-finals.

And Mario doesn't stand a chance <edit> with the RPG fanbase of GameFAQs - I'm surprised he managed to beat Crono. I mean, Cloud is one thing, but Sephiroth, from what I can tell, has a huge fanbase even outside the RPG/Adventure based GameFAQs community. In fact, had Sephiroth not been pitted against Link in the semis last year, it would've been Link vs. Sephiroth in the finals anyway. If GameFAQs users made a list of the best games ever, There'd probably be a RIDICULOUSLY high concentration of RPG and adventure games.

Summary: I didn't bother before, and I'm not bothering now. GameFAQs just has a fanbase that makes it pointless to vote for your favotire character is (s)he isn't a major RPG/Adventure game.
