Stuck in world 8-2 on Super Mario

I am stuck about 3/4 of the way through World 8-2.  I cant jump far enough.  There are two columns that are very thin and I cant make the jump.  I do know how to "super jump" but that wont even work.  Help!  Driving me nutz.  Thanks.

This is a tricky one for a beginner, to the left of "A" I do believe. you need to get onto the first one, and run (hold B and->)over the small gap. Then just jump at the end of the second "column". Mario can run over holes that small. Not really that bad I'd say once you get the hang of it.

Actually, you can start running off the pipe to the left of the two small land blocks.
