Hey are you the same dude whios working on Castlevania II edit?  I am experiencing a few probs with that program.  Also if you are the same dude, make a Castlevania III edit, for that would be even cooler.

Goblin, I gotta say, that's pretty d@mn cool, but I've got a couple questions.

-Have you done any player characters yet? i.e. Mario, Luigi, Peach or Toad.

-Why Super Mario Bros. 2?  Lets face it, 2 was definitley the unloved middle child of the trio of Super Mario adventures on the ol' NES.  Why not, oh say, Super Mario Bros. 3?  Now THAT would be cool.

-Will it play the same as it always has (a sidescrolling platformer) or will it be a full-roaming 3D game? (ala Super Mario 64)

Anyway, looking good, man.  Keep it up!

Everyone wants to see "Super Mario Bros. 3" in 3-D (except maybe the developers at Nintendo)!  It's a great game, more deserving of the new medium than any other "Mario" concept.  Plus the prospect of a three dimensional Doom Ship is appealing in a creepy way...

Styx, you misunderstood.  I love Super Mario Bros. 2, (it was so. . . different . . .in a good way) I was just stating that it is underappreciated, especially when compared to the mammoth NES epic that is Super Mario Bros. 3.

Don't get me wrong Styx, I really do like Super Mario Bros. 2.  It introduced Shy Guys! :D

Mega 2, do you mean a free-roaming "true" 3D game?  Personally, a polygonal aesthetic upgrade would be fine with me. :D

Either would be cool!  I suppose Nintendo's best move (in my own humble, unpopular opinion) would be a new "true" 3-D game à la "Mario 64" with a "Mario 3" style.  Like something that kept the basic mechanical and æsthetic theme of "Mario 3," but with different worlds and such, so even if you've already beaten the original "Mario 3" it's a new experience and a new challenge.  Maybe throw in Yoshi and some Shy Guys just for the heck of it.  : )

On the topic of SMB2 (USA). I hope everyone knows it's coming out on the Gameboy Advance.

Mega 2, when you say "ala Mario 64" do you mean the collect-all-the-little-thingies sort of gameplay that seems to inhabit all 3D platformers?

Personally, I miss being able to just blast through a level, with survival being the main objective.  Thats why I liked the Bowser levels in Super Mario 64 so much.

(its also one of the only things that keeps the game from collecting dust :D
