Woah, that's a lot of options! But there are so many games.  But I wanted to know what other people think.

They already tryed a Mario movie but it sorta sucked so.....yah...

But if I had to vote it would be Super Paper Mario and Super Mario Galaxy becuase they have good story lines.

Oh yes and the SSBB story line seems like it would be a movie or a anime like Kirby right back at ya. Or Sonic X but it would suck alot less. (even though the Kirby one dident suck as bad as Sonic X)
Time is repeating itself. Why you say? Look at the Wii and NES and you'll know why.

They should just make a CGI Mario movie, like someone suggested in Nintendo Power (Sept. 07) Pulse.

Where's the option for "none"?
That was a joke.

I guess that would be "other" or simply don't vote.

I chose all the Mario RPGs (except M&L2) because, naturally, as RPGs, they're more epic and plot-centric, with just the right amount of linearity.

I voted Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, and other. The first two because those would be the best-suited for a movie, and Other because it would be so easy to screw up. It would need all the original voice actors from the games (and some very, VERY well-chosen ones for characters with none), PM:TTYD would do better as a movie if just the plot were used (not the graphical style).

Maybe it's not such a good idea at all. I hate games based on movies--movies are to be watched, not played. We don't often get movies based on games, though, and SMB was just bad. Therefore I can only guess that games are meant to be played, not watched.

I think the best direction to go would be a M&L:SS-based animated series. The game already has a wealth of comic relief, it would be easy to cram into one season, you could stop watching it early on and not be out of any money if it were bad, and if it were successful, they could continue on to Partners in Time. The art could be like the official promotional images.

Like in the Japanese commercial for Superstar Saga? That would rock so hard.

I voted for Super Mario Bros. 3. The SMB3 series was good, so a movie of it would be good as well, in theory.

if they can do it with Kirby and Pokemon. They can do it with Mario. But i dont think it will happen since they already had a cartoon seires. Inless of course we start a potiton

I dunno about you guys, but I liked the old movie. It's kinda like in old Beatles movies, where you have to listen carefully to get the jokes. It's a real shame that N-Sider and Nintendo Power bash it so much.

Anyway I voted for Luigi's Mansion, Paper Mario 2, and M&L.

P.S. Don't forget the anime movie.

Wha!! Yes, that is basically what I envisioned... That commercial looks like scenes taken from a real cartoon thrown together.

I guess what I should have said was "Which Game has the best movie-like plot?".

Quote from: Shigeru Miyamoto
Well, when we first initiated talks about a Super Mario Bros, movie, I tried to emphasize the point that the Mario Bros. games are fun as videogames and if we were going to make a Mario Bros. movie, that movie should be entertaining as a movie, and not a translation of the videogame. I think that they tried very hard and in the end it was a very fun project that they put a lot of effort into. The one thing that I still have some regrets about is that the movie may have tried to get a little too close to what the Mario Bros. videogames were. And in that sense, it became a movie that was about a videogame, rather than being an entertaining movie in and of its self.

Take that movie-wasn't-enough-like-the-game whiners!
