Author Topic: Corruption and other stuff.  (Read 1976 times)

Well, it's been a while, but I think I'll post a new topic now.

Has anyone else's N64 had this thingy pop up on the screen: "WARNING! Due to corruption, all saved data will be erased!"? It's really confusing... I just wondered.

Also, does anyone know the exact date the GameCube should be coming out? And like, how much it's gonna cost...?

Ain't it the life...just sail on by...

Anyways, let me see here. Ahh, yes! What is everyone's reason for choosing their character in Mario Kart 64, and why?

I like Mario because he's sort of All-Around... his turning isn't too bad, he's fast when he needs to be...dependable, like that old sweater your grandmother gave you on that one white christmas...*smacking sound, kicking sounds*. Anyways, that's all fo' now... the Kong Korporation lives on! (For information on what "the Kong Korporation" is, just ... uh, ask?)

''Ey! Name''s Mario! I''m your main man! Your "rame-a-dame", Your can of "spaim"! *Gets punched.*
Kickin' it since 2000.

Did you recently do any of the following to the game in question:

1. Use a game cheating device
2. Use a game copier
3. Switch the power on and off rapidly
4. Turn off the power or reset while a save or load operation was occuring

Using any of those devices or doing any of those things could possibly corrupt the SRAM's contents. The game probably keeps a checksum to ensure data integrity, since loading corrupted data could crash the game and leave it useless forever otherwise.
