I keep seeing references to this mysterious file on outdated threads, but I'm new here and have no idea of what it is.

This is not a request as to where the page IS (althought that would be nice). I simply what to know WHAT it is supposed to be and why it exists.

The secret page is a page on this site without any obvious link to it. The people that have found it say there's nothing great about it. It just says, "Hi, I'll add some stuff later."

It's not a matter of optimism or pessimism, it's a matter of common sense! (half empty or half full?)
