This year is the 25th anniversary of
Super Mario Bros. 2, but very little mention has been made of that fact. This seems particularly odd given that EAD Tokyo has given us a new Mario platformer starring Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach.
True, "Super Mario USA" isn't 25 this year, which is probably why this particular anniversary fell off Nintendo's radar(scope); however, given the connections between
Super Mario Bros. 2 and
Super Mario 3D World, one might expect
some mention of the fact by NOA.
Has anyone out there noticed
anyone referencing the anniversary of SMB2?
