I just went to the Super Mario Bros. Super Site. and I found some more updates of Mario sunshine...

UPDATE:  It's been revealed that the City level that appears in all of the released screenshots from Mario Sunshine, is simply the first level, and not, as some people have said, the entire game world.

UPDATE: Miyamoto has said that in Mario Sunshine, the Water Tank device can also latch onto wires and ropes, like a Mechanical Arm!! He also said, that the Water Tank device is NOT the only thing/item Mario will be able to strap onto his back!!

"Bwa ha ha! Guess who it is, loyal Mario fans...

It is I, King Bowser... ruler of all Koopas, big and small. I have come to take over the Mushroom Kingdom (no, not the place...I mean the WEB SITE!)! Deezer, you will surrender your troops to me, or else you will never see your precious Mario again! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

People who like video games should also like Nintendo. People who don't like Nintendo obviously don't like video games.

Excuse me, but the city level was only shown on the Space World 2001 screenshots. The ones from a few weeks ago are not in the city.

New Mario Sunshine Info: Updated
NCL just recently launched their official Mario Sunshine website and it contains some new details on the premise behind our favourite plumber's latest adventure. The following is our translation:

Super Mario Sunshine (working title) is a 3-D action game in which the sun shines over island stages in the summer. It uses an upgrade of the popular Super Mario 64 game engine! It'll be possible to control Mario from home as his great adventure in a southern nation unfolds on the GameCube.
Together with Princess Peach, Mario was vacationing on "Dol-pic Island," which is normally a beautiful island, but has become polluted. The criminal who polluted the island was dressed as Mario when he did so, framing him for not keeping the island clean.

Using the new "Pump" item (tentative name) along with his trademark jumping action, Mario immediately begins searching for the true criminal who polluted the island. By defeating the enemy who tried to disturb Dol-pic Island, could peace possibly be restored to the beautiful island?

New Information:

-The island is apparently called "Dol-pic Island"
-Mario's new waterpump gadget will likely be given a specific name.
-The title of the game still isn't finalized and might be changed.
-This text seems to suggest that the game takes place on only one island which contradicts previous information stated that the location shown is just the first 'stage' or 'level.' **This is still unconfirmed and merely speculation.
-Mario has been framed for defacing the island by a look-alike and he must proove his innocence.
-Japanese release date: July 19th 2002, with a price of 6,800 Yen.

Thanks to reader Joey2303 for the tip. (nh) & (jp)

There's gotta be more to the game than just that, because our main man collects Sunshine Coins.  This speculation might be a bonus, or a part of the game.

Also I hope Mario has the 3 caps from SM64, along with a couple new packs.  I hope that there are about 50 courses, and that the game has a lot to it.  I hope goombas, troopas, spinies, piranhas, and many more enemies return, and that the many packs that Mario can collect serve to be interesting, such as the mechanical arm pack.

I hope that the game has an intense story-line, and that Bowser is in the game.  I hope it has alot of added features from older Mario games that SM64 didn't give us.

Another thing, a cool name for Mario's water pack would be the "Super Combo Jetstream Pack".  And that the arm pack is called the "Super Armatron Pack".  All of this stuff just makes me wanna get cube.

Can't wait!  Only 3 months!

Goombas? They are troops of Bowser, no? And Bowser is not in the game (so they want us to believe), so why would there be Goombas?
I''m surrounded by morons.
