In Donkey Kong Arcade mario rescues a girl named Pauline, now he rescues peach all the time. In the interview with mario It mentions them being different people. I think that they are the same person and they just changed the name. Does anyone know the actual facts?

Pauline and Peach are NOT the same person.
And while I'm clearing this up, Daisy is NOT related to either of them.
Wart and Bowser are not even aware of each other's existance.
And it is never said that either Mario or Luigi is romantically involved with Peach or Daisy.
That said, Pauline was (I think) Mario's girlfriend in Brooklyn.
Peach is princess of Mushroom kingdom.
Daisy is princess of Sarasaland.

THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE.

I never said anything about wart, bowser, or daisy. Pauline and peach look alike so I figured that the game programmers changed the name of the same person. And how can we be sure where Donkey Kong arcade took place?

Sorry. What I said about Wart, Bowser, and Daisy were things that have annoyed me since I heard them.
