Halo. Yes, the original Xbox game is now on Windows PC, and I played it. Unfortunately my graphics card is terrible. I have an older NVIDIA graphics card, and I desperately need to update my computer.

Even with the slow graphics card, i was still able to get a decent amount of graphics... the graphics on my PC are worse than PS2! Oh well.

I tried the online multiplayer mode, and it was fun, until I kept getting killed by a bunch of guys running around the game map.

Halo is an amazing game, and it is worth the money to buy an Xbox just for this game (along with Project Gotham Racing, Rallisport Challenge, and a few other Microsoft games)! I can't wait until Halo 2 is released this November, it is going to be awesome!

I heard from a pretty reliable source that Halo was originally made for the Mac, but then Microsoft bought the development company and delayed the game's release for its X(tremely big)box. Of course, once that happened, the Mac became the last platform to get the game.

Yes, I believe that is true. Halo was originally in development for the Mac, but Microsoft bought Bungie (the creators of Halo), and made it Xbox and Windows PC exclusive.

It's not a PC Exclusive, my friend (Who uses a Powerbook) has it and will allow me to borrow it for awhile this Summer.

It was originally going to be for Mac and PC, not just Mac.  Also, Halo ran pretty crappily on my what was then top of the line graphics card.  That's just sad-- I don't want to have to go down to XBox resolution to have a smooth game...

It was in development for PC because nobody develops games exclusively for Macs that want lots of sales. It just so happens that the old non-Microsoft pwned Bungie was pretty Mac-friendly, like Blizzard. Its original Myth games were great!

And Halo runs at above-30 Hz framerates at 1024x768 for me. It's just that you walk too slow in that game. I'm much more of an Unreal Tourney man.

"above 30"
If it's not above at least 60 on PC, then it's trash.  I was running at a resolution higher than that though.  The thing is, other FPSes have no problem running faster with higher resolutions (and it's not like Halo looks any better), it's just that the Halo engine sucks on PC.
