i'm not sure if anyone else heard about this, however, i read somewhere on a list of games Nintendo announced recently...
Mario Party 7 - you knew it was coming.
Mario Tennis Advance - it's finally official
Mario Kick Strike (or something like that) - a Mario soccer game.

Mario & Luigi 2 - awesome. either on GBA or DS... i forgot which but most likely GBA.

plus Nintendo Tetris for DS. sounds interesting.

another golf game for DS, only it's like, NIntendo golf or something. not sure if they mean Mario Golf style, or just a golf game produced by Nintendo like Penant Chase is.

Metroid: Dread - a brand new 2-D sidescroller Metroid game for DS. (Metroid Prime Hunters is still coming out too)

Actaully, I heard taht Mario & Luigi will be on the DS. And I'll be getting a DS for graduation! Yes!!!

I heard of another new game that was announced: a Kirby action-adventure game for the GCN! Its current title is Kirby Adventure GCN. Man, am I excited about this game. It looks like it may be 3-D like Super Mario 64, the graphics look like those of Kirby Air Ride, and it's official that it's going to have multiplayer! Here are some screenshots.

EDIT: Actually, I'm not sure about the "3-D like SM64" part. It might have a 2-D platformer style of play, but with different perspectives. I don't know. It's hard to tell from the screenshots.
