Who seriously finishes bad games just so they can call them bad?

Game reviewers.

Seriously, you have a point there. The first few times I played Yoshi's Story, I didn't finish it simply because I didin't like it. Ii my opinion, it was an extremely bad game, and Yoshi lost that tough dino side kick thing that he had going before YS.

If you think a game is bad, why finish playing it (unless you're OC, and absolutley have to finish it to know the full story)?
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

I'm not saying you have to, but I don't think criticizing the story (and such) before you've fully gone into it is a good thing. You do have every right to stop playing SPM before you've finished it, but a full review based on the first four chapters isn't a good thing.
We went to see them for the first time in 5 years because they were going away for 3 years.

The 3-D think was a novelty at first, but it's not a great feature because 1) The time limit
Go beat the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials. Twice.
run button
Flipside Pit.

Anyway, as Reading said, perhaps you should beat it before you call it bad.
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

Related to what Max just said: Just because ultra-uber post extra end-game items can remove certain annoying game mechanics, that in no way absolves the developers from using those mechanics the other 99% of the game. Ya know, the first 99%.

I personally think that SPM is a very good game, and I haven't even finished it yet. The Pixls are very useful and help you to get through the game. My favorite parts in the game are the boss fights because the battles are clever and challenging. And how can you say it isn't funny? I think it's hilarious.
What's your problem, Cambodian?

I didn't keep repeating that everything "sucked and was stupid" I only said that once or twice. Also, what is the worst Mario game, Time Machine and MiM aside?
Yes, but I was refering to the fact you described everything as either it sucks or it is stupid.

How is "Save the Princess from the Evil King" a bizarre story?
What you didn't catch was, Mario games are bizarre to begin with: what else has flying turtles and mushrooms that make you grow? Alice in Wonderland, maybe...

And yes, don't criticize the game story until you actually saw it all.

For the billionth time, I said I take back what I said about the story in all. I can, however, say that the story from the beginning to 4-1 is poor.

The plot twist happens after 4-4, or is it 5-4 (helpings are fed to you before, a tad more heavily than in TTYD but whatever). The gameplay was good, but taking turn-based battles out drastically lowers the difficulty and I hated the flip time limit. Especially in that one corridor in Castle Bleck.
My opinion on Mario RPG goodness: PM:TTYD > M&L:SS > [SMRPG > SPM > M&L:PiT] > PM
The ones in brackets may move around inside occasionally. The others stand... this doesn't mean I don't like Paper Mario. I love all of the Mario RPGs. Paper Mario was just the least epic (really, Chup, have you played TTYD? Ever? What's wrong with it?).
The way I see it, go ahead and hate SPM. You provided reasons why. I'd suggest you finish it, though, unless you absolutely cannot stand it at all (...which is evident).
Toad... who DOES like Yoshi's Story? I mean, I used to, but I can't remember why.

On Super Paper Mario:

Very good game. Granted, I don't play games or sequels to compare them to the original (which some people, sadly, still do these days for all the wrong reasons -.-;), but it wasn't as good as PM: TTYD. Big props to the NoA translation team for making awesome dialog.

On Yoshi's Story:

It lacked the charm Yoshi's Island had, but I used to like it... when I was ten. =/

Mario's time machine can't be the worst of all, and MiM can't be because you play as Luigi, so that can't count. Everyone knows It's Hotel Mario!
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

You back your claims badly.
I loved Yoshi's Story! When I was 7-9. I'm glad that it appears Yoshi's Island is seizing control over general Yoshi stuff. Yoshi elements in Brawl are balanced, kind of.

To get back on track, I don't think they "tried to hard" to make SPM funny. I mean, the World 7 game over = die joke was abused but it should've been kept to World 7. Suddenly everyone in the game is talking about their game eventually being over.

I haven't played the game yet, but I have played Mario's Time Machine(YUCCKKK) and Mario's Missing(Yuck!). This game doesn't look like close to the worst Mario game. Anyway, I respect your opinion. I didn't like that they took most of the RPG part out, but it has to be different than other platformers I've played. Also, no game is actually bad. I think some games are bad, but others don't. The whole video game/entertainment industry is based mostly on opinions anyway. Oh, and I forgot to add the my favorite Mario RPG's in order: PMTTYD>PM>MAL:PIT>MAL:SSS>SMRPGLOTSS. I'm not sure about SPM yet, but I might get it soon.

The Mario series is the best! It has every genre in video games but RTS'! It also has a plumber who does different roles, a princess, and a lot of odd creatures who don't seem to poop!

I think that game was actually the most fun I've ever had with a Mario side-scroller. Of course it doesn't match up to the 3-D games, and besides, you are in no position to blather on about how much it sucks if you haven't even finished it.

Nonsense. He's stepped down from attacking the story and that's about all there is left for the game by 4-1. If he hates the gameplay by then, he is in a position to hate Super Paper Mario.
SPM is 3-D. Sometimes. So it doesn't have to match up to a 3-D game. All the time.
Hmmm... Now I'm thinking, how different from PM:TTYD would the gameplay be if it were a traditional Paper Mario RPG? Obviously the partners from before would be replaced by the Pixls who can't be hurt, and you'd have a party of four (eventually). Other than that it wouldn't be anything new.
