So, it seems to be general opinion that the music in SMG is some of the best game music ever, but of that music, which is the best for:

New Tracks (new themes for the game)?
Returning Themes (Airship Theme, Koopa's Road, etc.)?

For new tracks, I really like the music for Gusty Garden Galaxy.
For old tracks, I would probably say either the Overworld 2 theme from SMB3 or Koopa's Road (music for the Bowser levels).

Best New: All the music used when you're fighting Bowser (epic), Gusty Garden, Mecha Bowser (I think that was new), Good Egg, Melty Molten, Megaleg.

Best Old: SMB3 Airship music, Toy Time music.

Woah! Man, just... get that game, ASAP.

Oh, yeah, how could I forget about that Bowser music? (especially the final battle one) Totally add that one to my list--most awesomely epic music ever (at least in a Mario game).

Step one: Find rips on YouTube Buoy Base Galaxy
Step 2: Copy and paste the YouTube vid's URL to Mediaconverter or similar FLV converter sites
Step 3: Select the format you want the .flv converted to.  If you just want to rip the sound from a YouTube vid, select a sound format.
Step 4: Mediaconverter will download the YouTube vid and convert the .flv to your selected format.
Step 5: Download that converted file, and you're set

Yeah there's a lot better way to get it, i.e. an actual sound file rip.
That was a joke.

Yeah.  The trick there is finding it.  Galbadia Hotel has a lot of VG soundtracks, but I don't know if they have Galaxy yet.

I keep reading the topic title as "possible life spoilers."

There's this one place that had a torrent for the whole soundtrack, but it won't work. I think I need to download one of those torrent programs, but my dad's always jittery about me getting huge stuff off of the internet.

I purchased the 81-track soundtrack at www.play-asia.com before the Platinum version went out of stock. Best $20 I've ever spent.
