His job is really lousy. They have this HUGE project, overlooked by incompetent bosses which literally give a deadline that's actually IMPOSSIBLE to meet. My dad actually calculated it, and everyone on the project work have to work like *28* hours a day (7 days a week--28/7) JUST to complete it--not to mention test it and fix bugs and such.

Suffice it to say, my dad is NOT happy. Like a month ago he worked a *90 hour* week! That's rediculous! He's now looking for a new job--and he's been working for the company for 21 years.

His company is EDS--"Every Day Sucks."

Those hours do seem quite strenuous. He must be quite devoted to getting that project done. Although, at the moment, I guess he really doesn't have much of a choice. Until he can find another job, that is. That's really quite depressing. :/

Before we moved (almost 2 years ago), he LOVED his job. He always has. Ever since we got here, he absolutely HATES it. Luckily, he has a rather impressive résumé, and he recently learned that an old boss/good friend of his (who actually owes my dad a few favors. ;) ) from where we used to live (before Cali) lives in a close town over. This guy also quit the company and started a new one. So my dad has a pretty good chance of working for him; his spirits are high, despite the torturous work hours. :)

That's good to hear. Losing hope in a dire situation would be the worst thing to do.

As long as he's searching, I'm sure something will work out for him.
