It is, and I hope you're exaggerating. She cut an entire inch off; I saw the pile. Also, the edges of my head are much nicer now! I really don't like side-burn-type hair.

EDIT: Well, I took another look, and my favorite change (the sides of the head) isn't very obvious. But you should be able to see the difference in length.

Just some comparison pictures, first is before the haircut, second is after. I'm afraid to say the haircut does not met LD's requirements.
WARNING: Large pictures... unless you have to enlarge them to see them at full view first... which I think is true.
