I see not why everyone hates Toadette so much. She's not unoriginal. THere has been female Toads since Mario RPG. THey simply gave her that name to distinguish her from Toad, instead of making up a completely different character.

Yeah, there were several toadetts in paper mario. This toadett is also named Toadett like the toad, Toad, is named Toad. It is the species, and the name, of them. Toadsworth is a toad, Tase T. is a toadett.

To tell you the truth, I'm kinda getting sick of peach being in almost every single game, and she's always in trouble. Why can't she be the hero for once. Super Peach Sisters! Then she teams up with either Toad Daisy or Pauline (your choice) to go rescue Mario and Luigi who have been captured!
Although it's not too origial (although better than Mario is Missing) I think it would be a break from all these remakes.(besides Mario and Luigi) Hey! That could be a sequal! Well anyway.......

No...Merluvlee and Merlee are twin sisters. Merlow is their younger brother, who lives with Merluvlee on Shooting Star Summit.

They needed a partner for Toad, so they came up for Toadette. They probably came up with that name because they wanted a simple female name.
