FYI sands for "For Your Information," and the number of words in each sentence makes the number
876. So the post was saying, besides what you can read in the three sentences,
For your information: 999 – 876 = 123.
The numbers 999 and 876 are important for (now-)obvious reasons within the context of that post, and 123 is neat just because its digits consist of the first three counting numbers in numerical order.
On top of all that "genius," my post directly addressed two people, Lizard and Steve. Those are the two people of the forums who think that math is really cool, and thus they're the only ones likely to care about the mathematical statement indirectly made in the post.
