On the first level, (or any level that contains a white platform, the same exact size) jump on the white platform, hold down, you should go through it. Now for about 5 seconds you can go through the scenery.

In fact, you need to do that in order to get a Warp Whistle on the third stage.

I doubt our knowing this relates to being "smarter". Most of us learned it from other sources instead of figuring it out on our own.

Jumping through the ceiling in the original NES Super Mario Bros. might be another story.

I agree with what Luigison said. Plus, luigifan said he that we probably knew about it anyway, so it's not like he didn't know that we knew. And because he wrote that in the title, then we know that he knows we know, but he probably figured that, so he knows that we know that he knows we know. Or something. I don't know.
