I'm thinking a Mario Kart cartoon with a plotline similar to Wacky Races would be kind of fun. 
"And here's the lovely Princess Peach in the Toadstool Tauras.  But what's this?  It's that scoundrel Bowser!"
I always figured "Time to tip the scales" was Wario's everyday motto.

The Mario series is the best! It has every genre in video games but RTS'! It also has a plumber who does different roles, a princess, and a lot of odd creatures who don't seem to poop!
