I'm trying to think of Doug quote and I'm drawing a blank. Such an odd show...

Can anyone tell me what's on Nintendo's mind as far as being green? What did they do between 2007 and 2009 to only move from 0 to 1? Replace all their lights with fluorescent ones?

Maybe Miyamoto should make Wii Environmental Conservation.

Weegee · « **Reply #9936 on:** August 31, 2009, 03:19:29 PM »

...And bundle it with styrafoam-wrapped peripherals to make it sell better!

EDIT: Greenpeace is an ******* anyway. They're the treehugging equivalent of PETA, and therefore not to be respected.

Agreed. I just randomly stumbled upon it after reading some article about bamboo being used for speaker boxes.

As I recall, Nintendo mainly got a low score because they had better things to do than answer Greenpeace's phone calls, and Greenpeace was too lazy to read Nintendo's website. I think.

Also, Link is constantly cutting down shrubs, Mario eats countless helpless mushrooms, and goodness knows how much Wispy Woods has suffered at the hands of Kirby.

PETA would also be on Mario's case for his sensless Koopa-killing rampages which he jusitfies in the name of Princess Peach... Every time. However, he'd get points for his strict vegan dietary regimen of mushrooms, nuts, syrups and pasta.

Mushrooms with eyes: A grey area?

Weegee · « **Reply #9942 on:** August 31, 2009, 05:32:12 PM »

Ah, true dat. Mind you, practically everything in the Marioverse has eyes, from hills to clouds to blocks. Fun fact: The traditional white-on-red Super Mushroom is allegedly based on the mildly-toxic Amanita Muscaria.

EDIT: We should form a lynch mob against Lizard Dude, WarpRattler and CrossEyed7 for killing coloured font. I'll supply the torches and pitchforks.

Don't forget Hacker Pikachu.

Yeesh, from how it looks I think that mushroom already screams "I'm deadly". I guess we know why there's an Amanita enemy in Super Mario RPG then. I hated those guys, they always attacked you twice in one turn.
