Nope, I go to a public school. I wish I did go to a private school, but I'm only middle class. The reason my food is so good is because the school district spends a ton of money on the lunch ladies, what they serve, and the quality of the lunch room. It's really cool, to be honest.

School starts on the 24th of August for me. I love school and the good thing is that I'm not considered the youngest person in the school since I'm a sophmore now even if I became a ladies man in my freshman year.

Well, there is that whole silent "o" thing, and the fact that people don't write out "sophomore" very often... it's one of those things where you wouldn't think to ask about unless you already know, which makes it pointless to ask. I wonder if the "o" is really siletn or if people just cut it off. Like "Worcestershire".

The O isn't silent, though.

It's pronounced "Soph-uh-more". People who pronounce it as "Soph-more" are saying it incorrectly because there isn't any emphasis on the second syllable.

....Either that, or when they hear the word for the first time, the person they hear it from pronounces the second syllable too quickly for them to hear it.

Nobody around here EVER pronounces it "Soph-uh-more", always "Soph-more". Then again, I'm from Missouri, the Hick State, so you can't really trust the locals on proper pronounciation.

Both pronounciations are correct.

Pronounciation.

I personally use "Sophmore" in spoken language. You don't really hear the "o" much, that is, around here.

Even teahers occasionally find time to post. Besides, being busy makes the time on the forums more enjoyable. Not to mention all the great games coming out this fall.

I start next thursday, the eighteenth. I'm mainly nervous about what teachers, classmates, and schedulized periods I end up with. I mean like what time I have which class, like math in the morning, etc. I also have to overcome that stupid laziness thing.

You guys think you got it tough? Oh man! Let me tell you... I have to wake up at 5:30 every morning, eat nonbrand name cereal for breakfast that tastes like soggy cardboard, then run several miles to school since my family is so poor we can't afford a car or even a bike (I type on the forums from a computer at the library), then I sit in long boring classes with mean teachers and even meaner students who call me names and kick me in the rear, then we have lunch in the cafeteria with really strange looking/tasting food (and no flippin' tots!!), then I have to run home while getting chased by bullies, and then I go home to do sevearal hours of homework and the process repeats a million times. Okay, so not really. I just wanted to try and chear some people up even though all my attempts are futile.

I went to a neat little private school when I was younger and now I'm taking college classes. Well I will as soon as I finish up my work at camp in a few weeks. I'm not looking forward to it but I'll be glad to be back home again. I hope everyone has a great school year!

Luigison: When you mentioned the games I remembered DDR:MM coming soon and felt a lot better. Thanks!
