Author Topic: SM64DS Star Glitch (Read 5065 times)

I currently have 149 stars. According to FAQs the star I am looking for is in the Courtyard, and I must kill the Boos to get the 8 Red Coins. However, the Red Coins never appear. It turns out that this star is glitched. I have searched GameFAQs.com for the solution, and I have tried all the solutions offered, but none of them have worked. Does anyone know how to get the last star at this position?

Actually, you might already have it. That seemed to happen to me, but what had actually happened was that it had been so long since I got the star, I forgot about it. Some sketchy stars you might want to check before knocking all the Boos into oblivion repeatively are the portrait stars. All of them, particularly Mario's red coin star.

Ha! Once you unlock the ! blocks, you're no longer able to get that star!

...well, not 'ha', but you ARE pretty screwed at this point.

You are supposed to talk to one of the Toads that you already got a star from... he should give you a replacement for the red coin star.

I tried that method with all of those Toads. I have done it at least 3 times.

Delete your game, and get an Action Replay Max, they let you get up to 120 stars.

Well I did find an AR for the DS. (I found it at EB Games only.) I don't know why I couldn't find it anywhere else.
