Author Topic: Mario's appearance in 20 years  (Read 11117 times)

We all know that Mario has sustained his look for a few games. His appearance has changed a lot. What do you think he will look like in 20 years?

I think he will finally be skinny.

Let me quote my older post in your older thread "How long can Mario Go?""Let's get back to topic.

Anyway, have you heard that the Loony Toons characters got upgraded? They are set in the future and has spandex and stuff. I hate it. maybe Nintendo will do the same thing, Mario with sunglasses that shoot lazers, a raygun, a jetpack, and metalic clothes? (Not like the Metal Cap in SM64, like a robot style clothing. See the dog in the Xbox game Mad Dash) And maybe Bowser will have a flamethrower instead of the usual fire-breath? This may be a bleak future, or a new beginning. Me? I shiver at the thought of it."
Let me reapeat "I shiver at the thought of it." Or maybe Mario will have a beard and be cranky. And tell stories of his past adventures. "You listenb to me, ya young whippersnappers, you jump on the couch like pros, but me in the old days, ahh... I would jump from platform to platform, which reminds me of a story. One day, a crazy man named Shigaruegula...whatever his name his, supposedely says he made me, but I degreess. He..." LOL!

"Oh. I forgot. W000t!!! My 1000th post!"

Methinks you should remove that before people get mad at you for hitting 1000 posts in such a short time.

I don't even think I have over 1000 posts.

I think his appearance only changed because he was pixellated. Now that he's 3D, he's probably not going to change.
"He's finally going to be skinny." ButHe was skinny enough in Paper Mario.

I remember when Super Mario 64 came out, my mother made the comment: "Mario sure has lost a lot of weight, hasn't he?"

My response was: "Hey, you're right."

 He's been pretty thin since.

I always thought the "big" Mario sprite in Super Mario World appeared as average weight.

They seem to be pretty set in Mario's design.
I really like Luigi's socks in Superstar Saga, but that's the only real variation on his costume I've seen since he changed to blue overalls, and that was just one game.
The brothers are already icons. Their design is instantly recognizable. In twenty years, it'll be like Mickey's red shorts.

Well, after seeing changes in Super Mario Sunshine from Super Mario 64, here's what I think will be different.

Mario: Why perform all these moves when machines can do them for us?

Peach: I don't think she can get stupider, but...

Luigi: Who?

Bowser: *is now the size of a skyscraper*

Yoshi: I STILL disappear when I touch water! (Be it a waterfall or ocean.)
