DK™ Bongo Blast
Format: Nintendo GameCube™
Launch Date: Q4 2006
ESRB: RP (Rating Pending)
Game Type: Airborne Racing Action
Accessories: DK Bongos Controller
Players: 1-4
Developer: Paon
KEY INFORMATION
• Donkey Kong® and his pals have gotten their mitts on some high-powered Barrel Jets – incredible engines that boost when struck by a pilot. By beating on the DK Bongos controller, players can make their character swoop up, bank side to side and launch attacks on rivals. (The game also can be played using a Nintendo GameCube controller.)
• Players challenge the Kremlings or up to three pals on five worlds, each boasting 3-D aerial maps filled with countless obstacles and powerful items. With four people beating the bongos as they battle for the skies, this game is more party than race.

I just watched the trailer for this, and this game is so awsome! This has to be my second favorite Mario game that's been anounced at E3 so far!

It’s good to see the DK bongos haven’t been abandoned yet. This will probably be the last GameCube game I purchase, so needless to say I’m really excited. Should be a fun, innovative racer.

Booooooo. No more bongo gimmicks. They never released Donkey Konga 3 in the U.S., yet they'll continue to make stuff like this. I'll admit Jungle Beat was fun, but one bizarre bongo-controlled game is enough.

Meh, I'm fine with the bongos. If they worked for Jungle Beat they can sure as heck work with this.

I still wish we had Donkey Kong Racing from Rare. <:-(

I think it will be a strong multiplayer game, just like the Konga games were. Bongo Blast party, anyone?

I'd rather my extra peripheral purchases be supported with more than a couple games, unlike how most peripherals end up.

Because Wii has GCN controller ports, I suspect DK Bongo and Action Pad games will keep popping up from time to time.

I was browsing DKvine this morning (yeah, yeah I knwo they're "anti-nintendoist and all, but they're a good source for information and whatnot), and  I was skimming through this thread (warning there's alot of foul language in it)-  http://www.dkvine.com/interactive/forums/index.php?showtopic=3521&pid=108067&st=200&#entry108067 and apparently the official site is gone, meaning we might not see this game ever again.

Hey, not everybody's anti-Nintendo there. Just a lot of them...

Actually, good news. Bongo Blast have been moved to the Wii. Add one more game to my Wii collection.

Not sure if that's "good" news.
