In Canada they rep area codes instead of actual areas?

What the hell are you talking about. About 80% of rappers in the US throw area codes into their songs constantly and if I'm not mistaken, we down here started doing the area code (and hell, I've even heard zip codes) crap and I'm sure Canada followed suit in its quest to be like us, I guess. (Off-subject, but related, why the US is trying to emulate Canada's stupid DRL law is beyond me. Stop it. It wastes fuel.)
Anyway, when they're not rappin about their area codes its because theyre talkin about how cool it is to live in the area they happen to be in at that moment... but mostly about where they grew up (which is prolly where they still live anyway).
