I think it's Kuribo's Goomba as well.

It sure gets boring having the same signature all the time. See what I mean?
That was a joke.

Yeah, it is kuribo's shoe.  Wanwan gets it.  The ' in Mario was for a contraction, to shorten it to two syllabals without leaving out any letters.
And I wasn't "bashing" frostbite.  I almost wanted to give him the question just for the effort he put into it.
But that'd go against the spirit of this thread...

So now I have two wins and still no question . . . nah, I'll come up with something.  In fact, I do actually have a question, but I will have to research the answer with a little game playing tonight.  So you should have it by the end of the night or tomorrow at the latest.  I will give you this:  It's a YI question.  And will probably be something that requires a bit of playing, unless you're obsessed enough to have already gone and done this little experiment and recorded the answer, which I would not put past a few of you.  Or myself, even.  ;)

Kudos to Insane Steve and frostbite on those hugely detailed and logical answers . . . always a shame to see the slackers prevail (I only actually read the first half of the riddle, y'see).

Hey, if I am obsessed enough to try to beat YI with my feet (I am almost done with World 4) and realize that Extra 3 has 21 red coins and the Extra 5 is the only level without a 3 word title, and of course, the Chomp Rock trick in 6-6 (My favorite glitch int the game, and I found it WITHOUT ANY HELP! HAHAHAHA) I SHOULD be able to get your question (maybe, of course, Fifth seems to know way too much about YI as well) but as you said, It'll require some playing most likely... please ask it today though! I want to see it before Fifth answers it!

PS: I thought it was Kuribo's Shoe when I read your answer, but since guessing the same thing you did would be futile, I had to come up with SOMETHING. I still like frostbite's answer though.

I have an SMB2 question: How many coins is it possible to get in one level, and what level is that?

Hmmm, I am fairly sure (If you mean, in 1 life) that is 3-1 for the level, but am NOT sure about how many... Over 10, I know that, plus I am too lazy to check. Meh...

PS: I didn't mean you on the bashing of frostbite, Fifth, I meant everyone else who says things like "Why are you saying that frostbite?" and things like that. You weren't bashing him; I knew that.

PPS: I ALMOST got that one guy who keeps messing up General Chat's HTML posts cleared up and wedged... It appears only the wedge topics are messed up now but those aren't that nessecary to read...

In 1 life, with Toad, you can get up to 18 coins on a certain level. What is that level?

Bad news . . . my copy of Yoshi's Island appears to have gone off to whereever my lost video games go to play, where it's probably having a ball with Snowboard Kids 1 and 2.  So I can't do my research until I find it . . . which means, once again, I give the floor over to someone else until such time as I think of another good question or find the sodding game.

Ooh, I know EXACTLY the spot you mean with the coins!  But I forget what level it's in . . .

Ok, I will take it. Hahaha!! In the Japanese version of Super Mario World, the Special World levels do not have expressions for their names. Instead, they are named two things. And these are:

Curiously, was the question "What level of YI has the most coins, and how many does it have?" I venture to guess 2-1 or 4-3, but... that is likely not even the question, anyway, since frostbite got the last one right (I assume), he has the next question.

PS: I said 3-1 for the level. I am almost certain that is correct.

PPS: I can easily come up with a lot of questions... see... My questions, although mostly on YI, are based on observations and thus cannot be found on TMK. That is the way I think.

OH YEAH!!!! I win!!!

In Super Mario World 2 (we should just call this the SMW2:YI quiz), what level is it very easy to obtain 999 lives? There are two answers.

Yeah, but see, frostbite, you weren't supposed to cheat.

Well, frostbite, there are THREE (at least!) such levels.

1-7, push that guy that rolls up into a ball next to the shy guy pipe, and let him take out the enemies for 999 lives.

4-1, take a Koopa Shell and bump it between the two pipes. One is a Shy Guy spawn spot, and should push Shy Guys in between the two pipes. They'll be bowled over by the shell. Wait until you have 999 lives.

4-5. Similar to 1-7, there is a Shy Guy regen pipe near the end of the level... and one of those ball guys is near it. Same as 1-7 for the trick.

Those are the 3 I know without looking it up, there my be more, but you asked for at least 2. (I think)

Now how do you know if I was cheating or not? How do you know that not each and everyone of these people actually looked it up?
