Following a storyline or theme of Super Mario Brothers 2 for NES.  It would be cool to see some of the boses like Wart and Mouser return.  Also neat to see the potions and vases, etc.

wow i just thought of somthing that nintendo could do. You know how smb 2 was all part of Mario's dream? Well what if they make it so that was a prediction Mario was seeing and the Mushroom Kingdom is attacked by Wart and stuff.

But since most of this was a part of Mario's dream i dont think anyone from the game would be back.

But that leaves somthing wrong. Shyguys and Birdo are in the Mario games when they were also just part of Mario's dream. Weird huh?
Time is repeating itself. Why you say? Look at the Wii and NES and you'll know why.

Not "saying", no, but I get the vibe that it's being implied, which is why I put basically in parentheses, and considering his posts in the past that always DID say that and his yearning for Mario games to be like yesteryear's, it's obvious why I think that way.

Super Mario Galaxy rocks (so much for modern mario games stink).

However, I would love to see a new storyline besides Bowser and many of the SMB2 characters deserve a return.

And PLEASE for the love of God put the koopalings back in the next major Mario Game.  I don't care if Bower Jr. is with them or not but they deserve a return and it doesn't make much sense in the storyline unless Mario killed them all in SMW.

Well, the Mario RPGs had more of a storyline and ended up being more fun (in my opinion). So I think extending that into a big continuous story might be even better. Maybe its just me, but story-lacking games just seem less fun.

I just get annoyed by Nintendo making all these villians: 7 koopalings, Wart, Mouser, Tryclyde, Taratanga, Wario, DK, DK Jr., and Waluigi but then we never see them again after their platform series.

I would love to see them come back as allies of Bowser or as totally new enemies in their own right.

Why is Wario up there? He had his own, and very good, platforming franchises that went on to be absorbed back into the main Mario series.

Yes, I know, I'm probably the only Wario fan that absolutely despises the existence of Waluigi.

I was hoping for Nintendo to make a Wario Land 5 for the Wii. It would have the same level look like in Wario World but with his powers to transform into diffrent things. I mean what the heck happend to that they all of asuden just vanish that idea and start doing other things to make it dumb.

Like Wario Master of Disguise I thogutht they were bringing back the tranfroming thing but NO! We got this game that made Wario look like he cant do a good game for crap. I liked WMOD but it just dident make it feel like a REAL Wario game. (I love the Wario Ware games though. Thier awsome)

I could be sarcastic and see Super Smash Brothers Brawl like people have done with me about multiplayer games but I know what you mean.

I think a storyline different from the usually Bowser stealing Peach would be great.  Even though that storyline is classic and is Mario.  I think Wario could team up as an anti-hero like Knuckles does with Sonic later in Sonic and Knuckles for Genesis or the way Shadow does in Sonic Adventure 2.

However, Wario still needs to be a greedy selfish egotistical ******* like he always is.  That makes Wario.

Wario was on Mario's side in Super Mario 64 DS and Hudson seems to love portraying him amongst the good guys in their Mario Party series (seriously, I think the only time they ever actually acted in-character was Mario Party 3).

I think Mario vs. Donkey Kong 3: Wario vs. Donkey Kong would be quite pwnsome.

Wow, quite the change in topic. Nintendo should make a new Wario Land game for the DS in the vain of Wario Land 1, 2, or 3. Wario Land 4 was good but it was way too short.

And yes a new SMB2-style game would be awesome! "New Super Mario Bros. 2" perhaps?

I also don't get how enemies from SMB2 are in newer Mario games. SMB2 was originally a non-Mario game called Doki Doki Panic (as most of us are aware), so for those enemies and items to reappear in newer Mario games (SM64, Yoshi's Island, Mario Galaxy, etc.) is kind of strange.
People who like video games should also like Nintendo. People who don't like Nintendo obviously don't like video games.

They should have put Wart in as a background object on the SMB2 stage in Melee.  Actually, they could have put him in Brawl.  Then you could have a four way battle: Bowser vs Wart vs Wario vs Donkey Kong.  That's a lot of villain mass right there.
