SSB is a party game, just with less tossing dice or what have you. Basically, anything with random craziness and four-player support made by Nintendo is a party game.

Yes, I consider it a fighting game, but it also happens to have some platforming elements in it. It's a unique kind of fighting game.
The Mario series is the best! It has every genre in video games but RTS'! It also has a plumber who does different roles, a princess, and a lot of odd creatures who don't seem to poop!

It's a fighting game with typical touch of Nintendo originality. Frankly, I think it's more fun and realistic, though since the counter goes UP, I remember my younger brother panicking because he thought Maxim tomatos would sap his health.
