Here is how to get him,

You dont need all the trophies, but you need all the other secret characters. (I think, because I have them all)Beat classic mode Now before you read my next sentence, dont just jump out of here, there is a trick to do this hard part. Hit every single credit on the classic mode. The trick is to press A (to shoot) B (to freeze everything) A to start time and repeat the steps. If you hit all the credits, the credit at the end should be hitable. Nothing should happen. Now goto Adventure mode, ('cause thats the place with the toads) After you beat it (with any character) you will be challenged by a new character. The character is of course, Toad. You know what to do now, beat him up. You'd think he'd be hard, but he's easy. VERY easy. He has no movies from classic mode, nor does he have any trophies. He has no events in All Star mode. once you get Toad, he will no longer be in the Mushroom Kingdom background. If you go to page 18, (or around there) in your user manual, look at the two top pictures, they are of Mushroom kingdom, he is not there. I guess the makers of the game easily got him or something.
(Sorry for not explaining it earlier.)
OH, there is an easier way, I think, with action replay.
