Don't do it. Spend your points on Bloody Wolf instead.

I downloaded it as soon as I heard. SMB2 was always one of my favorites.

The game wasn't that bad, it was just a stupid idea.

Nah, where'd Mario be today if the SMB2 madness hadn't happened?

Luigi might still be a green-clad clone!

I wish they would just bring the Japanese version of SMB2 here, and just alter the difficulty.

Why release the game here and change what it's known for? I say we're better off with just the SMUSA game. Besides, it wasn't a stupid idea, SMB2J wouldn't have been successful then due to its difficulty and similarity to the original. It was a smart move on Nintendo's part to make a new SMB2: it joins SMB1 and 3 as the top three best-selling games for the NES.

Alter the difficulty? ?? ??? ???? ????? ?????? ??????? ???????? ????????? ??????????

BP · « **Reply #9 on:** September 24, 2007, 09:24:10 PM »

Bring it here? SMAS, SMBDX, imports.
Edit: you know, SMB2 happened. Both versions have been released here. Mario is super-successful. I don't think there's any room for complaining here. SMB2J may very well have turned off a lot of gamers here and killed Nintendo.

aRgH, the bumping of this made me think that SMB2(j) had just been released, perhaps as Reggie's aforementioned September surprise!

Wait, what was the September surprise, anyway?

I said in my post that they should "alter it" to make it easier.

Yeah, but people would want the original game. Nothing from a compilation. And I'd rather have them port it here than buy the system that plays it, which would cost more money.

The difficulty of SMB2J is its defining feature. Also, you double posted again.
