Winner announced tonight sometime after midnight. A lot of people haven't entered. If you're waiting, clock's ticking!

Would a picture of me with a paper giving you a greeting be an eligible entry? Because if that's the case, I've got something...
I'm a horrible person.

Hey Lizard Dude, did you send the winner a PM, or are you gonna announce it here?

Well I guess I didn't win, I didn't recieve a PM from Lizard Dude. Did anyone else get one?

He's probably still going through the entries. I bet over half the forum PM'd him after he said If you're waiting, clock's ticking!

I'd probably lose that bet, but he'll get back ot us when he's done.
Kinopio is the ultimate video game character! Who else can drive a kart, host parties, play tennis, give good advice and items, and is almost always happy??

Yes, sir, it does! Unfortunately after I posted that, I got lazy and didn't return to the internet until now. Ah well, what's a contest winner announcement without some suspense?

I'm not sure how many people realize this or how hard it is to discern through online communication only, but my favorite type of humor by far is when people come up with something funny related to the current situation. Of course there are exceptions and the definition of "current situation" can be quite stretchable, but I'm really not so much a fan of canned jokes à la lolcats and random flash vids. If you tell me a traditional canned joke in RL, you're likely to be met with either a straight face or polite laughter (depending on who you are) but even the dumbest pun related to the situation will likely have me guffawing whole-heartedly.

There was really only one person (I think) who created something new for this contest. It related to our forums personally and in the context of what I just explained about my sense of humor, it should come as no surprise to learn that this was the only entry that made me L.O.L. (and how!). Everyone else just linked something generic from the intertubes. Some were fairly amusing, some (yes, more than one) were horrific five-minute long YouTube vids that I had to watch the whole entire thing for the sake of the contest in case something extremely funny happened at some point, and some were misses that left me scratching my head. But if you entered at all, still consider yourself better than the people who didn't try. Boo on you losers!

Without further ado, the winner is BIRD PERSON

I was getting kind of down about spending $60 only to earn a slog through the comedy wastelands of the internet when this gem showed up in my inbox. It made me experience the emotion of happiness, for I laughed, and not just in my mind, but aloud, using my vocal cords to release the sound and natural effect of laughter. That hilarious classic gif of the best Mario Party minigame ever! With our heads!! And thrown into a nostalgic YTMND format with that catchy tune!!! That's what got me to instantly laugh. But then I started to notice the details. TEM's jiggling head. The perfect fit of Chupperson's hair. How I'm standing and clearly playing to win. The expressions on all the faces if you just stare at them. The correlation with the original expressions and hair.

Totally worth sixty bucks or less. For this outstanding contribution to Fungi Forum humorous creations, I commend you Bird Person.

I might do a post mortem later and comment on a few of the other entries.

Bird Person linked it in #tmk a while back, and I enjoyed it too. I am curious as to what the other entries were. (I didn't enter anything.)
Remember that your first Goomba boldly you walk? When Mario touched that mushroom being brought up more largely remember that you are surprised? Miscalculate your jump that pit remember that it falls?

Yessss!

Everyone should post their entries (assuming they want to show them). I want to know what people sent too.

I just now said this in #tmk, but I'll post it here: Thanks to LD, TEM, Chup for their funny-lookin' facial expressions and SolidShroom for showing me his entry, sparking my creativity. Sorry LD isn't giving you guys presents, too.

Now, how long do I have to decide on what I want as my prize, and do two games that total $60 or less count?

The more I watch BirdPerson's YTMND-type thing, the harder I laugh. The first time I opened it, my roommate was in the room, so I abruptly saved it for later when the first chord of the altered Luigi's Theme erupted from my speakers.

Yeah, I thought I would die laughing the first time I saw that. It's just probably the funniest thing I've ever seen from a TMK member. Even funnier than the things from LD or TEM. It's a shame I can not unsee it just so I can have the joy of seeing it again.
