Believe it or not, it costs money to make games. There is a Nintendo fighting game out, and that should be a good substitute for a Mario fighting game. They don't need one. Nobody wants one; they're satisfied with Smash, which is not a Mario fighting game, but it is a Nintendo fighting game with Mario characters which is good enough.

What don't you understand! Smash Bros. IS NOT an official Mario game. Just because Mario characters are in it doesn't neccesarily make it a Mario game. And what makes you think it will be wothless? Oh yeah, once again, Smah Bros. is not the kind of fighting game I'm talking about!

Ok, #1: http://dictionary.reference.com/
#2: If it's an official Nintendo fighting game with many Mario characters, then what's wrong with that? You can even fight other, non-Mario characters! I like the stamina system better then most other fighting games! There's even a mode where YOU get what you want! So quit complianing and go play Melee.

P.S.Are you allowed to post a link to MUGEN? If so, please do.

#2. I did not say anything about a NINTENDO fighting game. I specifically said a MARIO fighting game. Watch a video of Tekken or Virtua Fighter, and picture it with Mario characters, stages, music, etc. That's kinda what I'm talking about here.

1. Fighters already exist that have everything you want except Mario characters.
2. Why have Mario characters in a standard fighting game?
That was a joke.

2. Tell that to little kids who aren't old enough to play a normal fighting game.

There will probably not be a Mario fighting game for two main reasons:

1. Super Smash Bros. is practically a Mario fighting game.  I know it isn't like Tekken or Street Fighter, but it is still considered to be a fighting game.

2. Nintendo wouldn't make a game because it would get an E10+ rating or higher simply because it's a fighting game.  The Mario games aren't focused on fighting, and it would give the Mario franscise a "bad" view from Nintendo.

If people aren't old enough to play real fighting games, boo-hoo. There are games meant for older kids. The Smash Bros. series is the closest you can get to a Mario fighter that is and ever will be kid-friendly.

This is what I think a non-violent mario fighter should look like.

Sorry but that would be dumb... We don't need a Mario fighter game and I dont think Nintendo ever will make a Mario fighter game like that. So go play Super Smash bro's it's funner and it's better.

Also just asking have you ever even played a Super Smash Bro's game before?
Time is repeating itself. Why you say? Look at the Wii and NES and you'll know why.

I've played, I own (and I've beaten) both smash bros. games, and I love them both. But I like REAL fighting as well. So I'm beggining to think that you guys can't take any air from a REAL fighting game because of an over obsession of Smash Bros. I just have a hard time thinking that Smash Bros. is a fighting game. Yeah, you kick and punch, but when was the last time you've played a fighting game where you throw fire, uppercut, throw bombs, and even thrown pills at your oppenents. And the premise of a fighting game is NOT by knocking your opponent off the stage to win. I love Smash Bros., just not as a fighting game.

So why don't you play the ones that exist and not worry about putting Mario characters in a game where they don't fit?
That was a joke.

I don't have a problem, I just wanted to post this thread to see what you guys would think, but it turned out being a big rant.
